Wizards Board Draft Pick Contest (Rules discussion)

This post will only be up for a bit as I solicit your thoughts over the weekend.
It's been suggested that we do a board contest on picking (in my case, guessing) draft picks. closg00 has started a thread to solicit your pics at 6, 18, and 34.
Seeking board input on the following:
1) Do we want our contest to ONLY be about 6, 18, and 34? What if the Wiz swap their pick at the last moment. Our contest will be about who's being picked, but not for the Wiz. Is that okay with you'all?
2) Alternate is we have a contest for the entire first round? The entire draft? The entire first round and #34.
3) I'm thinking of a weighted points system. You get #1 right, 1 point. You get #6 right, 6 points (the theory is that the further in the draft you go, the harder it gets).
If you have any thoughts, please spell them out here and be granular and specific so we can make things happen correctly.
Thanks in advance,
Pine

Cool, pine - looking forward to the contest, even though this draft seems to be really difficult to get a handle on what teams are thinking.
One suggestion though - don't go overboard on the "later picks = more points" scale. I mean, you wouldn't want to end up with someone who knocks it out of the park over the entire 1st round, way outpacing the competition, only to be scooped because some schlub happened to guess that Georgios Printezis would be the 58th pick sometime after midnight.
I mean, hypothetically speaking, of course.

True.
Maybe three tiers? Or "x" tiers.
1-10 - 2 points each
11-20 2.5 points each
21-30 3 points each
(Or whatever)

I'd rather guess #6, #18, #34 (no matter who actually picks 'em). Simpler is better.

I could go for guessing the entire 1st round + Wiz 2nd round pick.

Or maybe just the lottery picks + #34?

Sounds good Pine, these guys don't seem to interested in making picks, we'll take whatever you give us.

I like this middle ground that you have come up with. I say LOTTERY PICKS plus #18 and #34. Numbers 18 and 34 ONLY count if the Wizards keep thos picks and drafts in those slots. I think you do a point system for the lottery, and then #18 and #34 would be bonus points! Let's do this!!

Doing the "Lottery + #18 and #34", you could award 1pt for a correct pick (team & player), and half a point (.5pt) if a trade is made and the player is picked in the slot but by a different team.
2pts could be given for the correct pick at #18, and 3.5pts for a correct pick at #34. How does that sound?

I'd say we do 1-18 and a bonus for #34

Sounds good when do add need or picks in?

I don't see how anyone's going to be able to guess our picks with how Ernie's playing things so close to the Ves.

Just to let you'all know.
Lyrical's approval of 1-18 plus #34 weighed heavily. So that's what we'll do. I'm gonna use some discretion to establish a point system.
Picks 1-6: 2 points for each correct.
Picks 7-12: 2.5 points for each correct.
Picks 13-18: 3 points for each correct.
Pick #34: 5 points if correct.
And I'll have a tiebreaker based on a pick of which jargon word you think EG will use first in his post-draft interview. Standby for a new thread.
