Sick and tired of the NBA lockout? Trinity University might have the answer. NBA ballers John Wall, Nick Young, and JaVale McGee will participate in "Capital Punishment" this Saturday, a joint venture between the Goodman League and the Drew League which will pit Washington Wizard against Washington Wizard. Wall will help lead the Goodman League, or the "East Coast," alongside former Kentucky Wildcat teammate DeMarcus Cousins as well as D.C. native Kevin Durant. Young will team up with McGee on the Drew League side, or the "West Coast," which will feature Durant's Oklahoma City Thunder teammate James Harden as well as Milwaukee Bucks guard Brandon Jennings. The wild card? Five-time NBA Champion Kobe Bryant.

Ok folks this it, no Summer League and no end in sight for the lockout. Who ya got to win this? I think some additional big names will be added with plenty of other NBA stars in attendance. This will be a big media event.

Anyone know if there will be a television broadcast? I can't stream the game because I'm out of town.

Looks like streaming-only which is a shame. Perhaps the entire game will be available on YouTube later. Anyone know if the game is sold-out and how-much tix are?

It cost $4.99. You better buy it today, because if you wait until tomorrow, it's gonna cost $9.99.

Goodman League probably will definitely win it unless Kobe plays for Drew League. Either way this thing is going to be a shootout.

Nick Young is officially out of Sat's Drew-Goodman game. I was told he had to tend to some "family stuff"

I was really looking forward to seeing Nick. Super lame, and I don't buy the family excuse.

Oh well.

Back from the game. Great atmosphere, all around fun game to watch. 136-135 Goodman on top after a few Durant FTs. Durant is an absolute freak of nature. He's as tall as Cousins is. Insane.

Not the best night if you're a Wizards fan. First you have Nick Young acting like a little bitch and not playing, that was a huge disappointment for me. Then you have Wall brick every jumper he took but one. He was 1-9 or so, really not an impressive shooting performance. He had some nice drives and some excellent passes, but not what I was hoping to see out of him playing with Durant and Cousins. McGee was really bad and didn't play many minutes at all. He looked disinterested and got abused by Cousins multiple times. I would trade 2 of McGee for one Cousins, anger problems and all. McGee is lucky there are VERY few real NBA centers currently playing.

Just a note on John, he took MAYBE 10 practice jumpers (pregame and halftime combined). I don't get it. Hopefully practice eventually makes perfect with him, or if not perfect hopefully decent.

^ 1-9? It might've felt that way watching the game live, but WaPo's game report has Wall scoring 28 points, many of them down the stretch. That couldn't have all come from the line.

I'm talking about jump shots. He hit a number of excellent layups, but besides one shot he bricked all of his jumpers fairly badly.

Zach Harper, Daily Dime Live: John Wall is eating Brandon Jennings alive. So cannibalistic.

Adam Reisinger (ESPN.com): John Wall is The Game Changer.

Adam Reisinger (ESPN.com): Remember that "John Wall vs. Brandon Jennings" debate we were having earlier? John Wall won.

Zach Harper, Daily Dime Live: There are two types of people. People who think John Wall is better than Brandon Jennings and people from Milwaukee

Comment From c rapp
who is in the running for game mvp?

8:40

Adam Reisinger (ESPN.com): I'd imagine it's KD's to lose, but Wall is making a late push.

Comment From kilian (OKC)

Not really sure what you're asking. Like I said, Wall played well but his jump shot is still terrible. If he improves even marginally, we're set.

Jennings had 34 and essentially single handedly brought Drew back into the game, during most of which he was guarded by Wall. Wall did play well down the stretch, hitting his only jumper of the game and nailing some clutch FTs.

As far as McGee, anyone who was there will tell you Cousins destroyed him and that he did not have a good game at all, being pulled out of the game several times.
