Saw that, it gave me great hope that Flip & Ernie might suffer a similar fate.

Let us hope that John Wall doesn't end up as a pathetic whimp like Ovechkin. Good player, crappy leader is not what we need for this team.

Boudreau needed to be fired, but half this team deserves to be traded for being spineless babies.

Let's hope uncle Ted enjoys the taste of blood on his chin... Be worried Flip, be very worried.

While we're at it, let's hope this thing catches on. C'mon Kevin Anderson, let's frog march that clueless egomaniac Randy Edsall out of town (of course, Anderson himself should be next).

Remember when we had a bunch of good coaches or atleast good guys coaching the locals?

Joe Gibbs, Bobby Ross, Gary Williams, Terry Murray, JT II, Wes Unseld- admittedly not a good coach, but a great guy.

Of all the local coaches, Boudreax was the coolest, most genuine. He did a lot for the franchise... But had reached a plateau. Let's hope Hunter is to Boudreax as Phil Jackson was to Doug Collins.

I'm sad for Gabby the person if not the coach... Can't say I'd feel the same for Shananigan, Edsall, Flip.

I approve of this thread! :)

I've got nothing much to add to what's already been well said.

Good to see Leonsis has spine.

I dont think Ted was 100% responsible for the firing.

Good to see him get another job in record time. He seems like a good guy who knows how to coach. I can't blame the Caps for firing him - It was just one of those situations where the expectations were awfully high, and the players were no longer responding - not necessarily anyone's fault, but better to make the change now rather than let the situation fester and get worse. Good luck to him and the Caps.
