All Star Snubs of Wall and McGee=Wizards Snubbed

Wall has stated he is offended at being picked 12th in the game he was MVP of last season. I imagine McGee feels the same way about not having not been invited to the dunk contest.
As a fan of the Wizards, I think it reflects very poorly that the top pick last season and a great dunker are not media darlings. In fact, they are the opposite.
Ted Leonsis better look at the big picture when it comes to retaining Ernie Grunfeld. I think the Wizards so routinely perform poorly that no one outside of Wizard fans really cares or likes much about the team EG has created.

He said it isnt worrying him, but his language to me says he has a real fire in his belly over this.
I'd expect DeMarcus to completely have his back on this and the pair will deliver a beatdown in the vein of last year's game.
Those two probably see Blake and Lin getting all the media attention and would just love an opportunity to take them down a peg in front of millions of eyes all over the world.

I honestly hope he doesn't put credence in this glorified JV pickup game.

im almost 100% sure mcgee was invited but he just turned it down. you think the nba really thought to invite chase budinger before mcgee?
michael lee said mcgee turned it down because of the shortened season and lack of time to prepare.

Cool.
That makes me feel a lot better.
I also think it was good for Javale to decide not to.

ernie = ernie grunfeld = the general manager.
wall was a late pick partly because despite chuck and shaq being television commentators, they are also susceptible to the sway of hype and short memories like the rest of us (probably moreso).
mcgee in all likelihood was asked to dunk (ineligible for the rising stars rookie/soph game), as ST21 said, but for one reason or another isn't dunking.

Shaq's team seems to be the "all-hype" team.

http://www.nba.com/video/channels/allst ... ategy.nba/Giving props to Brooks and George. Said get used to seeing Brooks.
http://www.nba.com/video/channels/allst ... draft.nba/For Wall what it really boils down to is getting picked behind Kyrie, Lin, and Rubio. That is all that matters. They were drafting entire teams. Wall probably should have been pick over Rubio but I can understand why he was picked after Kyrie and Lin. And I get the Rubio thing. He was another great story this year like Lin has been. Plus he make the no look style pass.
Wall got off to a bad start playing hero ball and that doesn't impress anyone. Now he is playing better. Had he started the year playing like he is now, he mayb have been taken first or second.
The league has really added a lot of PGs
http://espn.go.com/nba/statistics/playe ... fied/falsehttp://espn.go.com/nba/statistics/playe ... int-guardsLin and Kyrie are keeping some good company. Lin is 12th in scoring per 48 minutes among all players and 2nd for PGs. Kyrie is 5th.
