Wizards @ Heat GT: 7:30PM

I'm on a two-game win-streak with my crappy game threads so here-goes.
In the Miami Heat's last eight games, Dwyane Wade has sat out the four against opponents with losing records while playing four times against playoff teams.
If that pattern holds, Wade won't be on the court when the Heat look for a sixth straight win in a home matchup with the Washington Wizards on Saturday night.

I hope Almond gets a lot of burn tonight. We need to see if he is a possibility for the Wiz next year. We can tell much about his game having to go against Wade.

Crap is a good fertilizer.
http://espn.go.com/nba/preview?id=320421014Washington's last three wins have come against playoff teams Orlando and Chicago and playoff hopeful Milwaukee. The Wizards are enjoying the role of spoiler.
"I am proud of how these guys came out and really stood up to how these teams are playing," coach Randy Wittman said. "We have a couple more coming up against Miami that will obviously be important games."
Miami pulled with 1 1/2 games of Chicago for the Eastern Conference's best record. If the Heat win their final four contests and the Bulls lose once, Miami will clinch the top seed.
court advantage throughout the playoffs. And that is a big real in regards to their title chances.

You'll know I am really pumped for this game.
Nothing would be sweeter then to send Miami into the playoff licking their wounds and with doubt in their minds while also providing the Wizards roster with motivation and a vision of where they can be. Great motivation to lead them through the summer. And a strong finish against playoff teams would also play well for Randy and EG.
I wouldn't be surprised if Randy isn't pitching this as a playoff game because if they sneaked in with the 7 or 8th seed, this is the type of team they would face. So in a sense, this is the first taste of that kind of playoff experience for most of these young players.
They meet Boston in Boston last year 4 games from the season end,
http://espn.go.com/nba/boxscore?gameId=310408002In this game, Wall and Crawford got their first taste of this experience. They showed up except Wall had 7 turnovers. KS even got some playing time. And except for Mo, the rest of the roster are players that didn't play in that game or were not on the roster.
For me, this is the most interesting game they have played in a long time. MIL is close since they had so much riding on beating the Wizards. Their playoff hopes depended on it, so that was huge. But Miami is clearly a bigger fish. A win tonight could easily put them out of the running for home advantage thoughout the playoff. Clearly something the want.
Randy will be using the New York game as motivation to get them to come out strong. They have to start the game with strong defense and feeding the KS in the post. If they can get that established early with and get Miami to have to adjust, that should keep them in the game through the first quarter. From there, it all depends on rotations and how stupid the refs are tonight. Not holding my breath on the refs but they did alright last game. Crawford finally got to the line.
I hope this is a competitive game. And if it is, I hope they take them out.
Wizards beat playoff teams Chicago, Miami, Orlando and Milwaukee while on 5-2 run to end the season.
That's what I want to read.

the heat think we are a joke. spo said their entire team is a gametime decision and wade had this to say

Dwyane Wade on why it's tough to prepare for the Wizards: "There's really no scheme. It's just one-on-one basketball."

Was he referring to the Wizards or the Heat with that comment?

If one of Wade/James play, I expect a blowout.

I hope John Wall goes off vs King James and Flash. I'm sure wall will be hype for this game to show he can be a big star one day. I would love to win this game Imagine the confidence this can give are young core of guys. John wall needs to show up and get everyone involved. Heat has no answer for Nene.

Goes off in what way ? If you mean pts, that will be the easiest way to cause a blow out. If you mean he bring tough lock down D from the start of the game while running when it is open and feeding his teammates, then selectively driving, then yes, they have chance if he does that. That would be bringing it to me.
The can win without Wall scoring a lot but not without his defense and assists. I line like he had against MIL is all they need from Wall. Though a steal or two would be nice.

Don't expect a good game from Wall tonight....
A business partner of mine owns Club Play in Miami Beach. Wall was there last night for his birthday party. Apparently was hammered at 3 AM and was ordering bottles of vodka.
Major hangover guaranteed...

I would be shocked if he get " a lot of burn " I'm pretty sure Crawford will get his full load of minutes. I think they will give Martin some minutes as SG. Almond may not even play this game. But if things go well, I see him getting about the same minutes as last game and take 1 or 2 shots. If it is a blowout, maybe he plays more. Or off course if he hits some big shots, say he goes 2-2, I can see them leaving him in there a little longer.
All things being equal, I think They take a better look at Almond the following 2-3 games.

Who is "his"?
If you're referring to John, his birthday isn't for 5 months. If you mean your business partner, ignore this post

Oh no. Was Wall infected by Gil also ? Gildonitious is highly contagious to young players. Gil was here when Wall arrived and I have heard that Gil calls him. If this is true, I fear Wall has been infected. I have been monitoring Wall to see when signs of this infection produce symptoms.
This is very sad news if true. We may have to amputate. Sadly, it is the head that had to come off.

Looks like LeTravel and Boshstrich are sitting out tonight. I think we'll lose, but it'll be close. Wade always kills us.
