I am really down tonight. We deserve better but all we get is the same. The same medical staff, the same GM who destroyed this franchise...the same loyalty from a clueless owner to executives who have done nothing but make this team into more of a laughingstock than its ever been(Which is really hard to do). The same retread coaches. Damn you Ted. Damn you

How can he bring back Ernie after 4 of the worst years that us fans had to endure. He didnt interview other candidates. A severe housecleaning was needed after this season with fresh faces and new ideas. And what do we get? Ernie coming back. Again. What does Ernie have to do to get fired? Draft Singleton over Faried? Trade Rubio for Mike Miller?

Why...ted Why? Do you hate us that much. Havent we suffered enough? It feels like a sucker punch in the gut tonight. Its depressing and deflating. Its the single worst night of the year for me...

and he wont even change the name back to bullets. He hates us

I like Rod Stewart's cover of this tune, but just wanted to give homage to the original group.

Rod's cover was excellent, but that original is like honey on the tongue.

It's pretty incredible that Ted did not take the calls of Potential GM candidates who were interested in coming to Washington. I would like to have seen the look on Pritchards? Face when he was told that Ernie was keeping his job.

Well, OK. If I had my way, EG would be joining blatche at the fat farm well away from the Wizards.

That's not gonna happen. But honestly, if CCJ is OK with the decision, so am I. EG has doing some pretty good things the past few years. His moves seem to be paying off. I still consider EG middle of the road - we can do better but we can certainly do worse. We could have Danny Ferry, for instance.

I accepted this eventuality a while back. Ernie returning is not surprising and I feel like I've already sipped much Kool-Aid.

You guys should try some. We've got the draft coming up and you have to deal with this sooner or later.

I already knew life isn't at all fair.

Another clueless owner, great. That's the way you treat the fans Ted? You better f-ing spend some money next season on free agents.

It's not that bad. Grunfeld is better than most GM's with Sheppard and Milt Newton as assistance. My problem with EG is that he's lazy at times and you can't build a championship contender that way. The next two years are critical and there's been a lot of disarray that makes is hard to believe a championship team can be built with how things have been. I'd like to see some changes to the S&C program and the medical staff with EG here who knows if that will change.

I'll tell you what, if EG hires D'Antoni my opinion here will shift negatively because as a head coach he will never win a championship in the NBA. It's the kind of lazy quick fix that I'm expecting EG to make.

I have to grudgingly admit that in the past 1 1/2 years, Ernie made a lot of good moves. I'm only sort of okay with this.

I will never forget the dirty way Gil was dealt, but Ted was on board with that. I will always think the Nene deal was horrible long-term, financially. Yet, it's kicking ass in the short run more than I had imagined. I will always wish this team had drafted Leonard, Faried, Brooks, or even Klay Thompson. However, Vesely is freakishly gifted. With all he cannot do there are things he can do at his height that are pretty special.

I hate what Ernie has done on the whole. If past performance is a future predictor, the best the Wizards can hope to do is become a mediocre team that overpays to re-sign or acquire talent. Ernie generally drafts talent but he almost always overpays to keep that talent.

sfam, I only am okay with this because I don't think disrupting continuity is necessary with the progress I've seen in the past month or two. Wittman can coach this team one more year as far as I am concerned.

The thing to do is to offer short contracts and if things don't work out THEN get a new GM and hire a coach like Dave Joerger.

CCJ look at our record the last 4 years. 4 straight years with a top 6 pick and were still the worst team in the league. half our players are D leauge

So naturally we should extend him. This franchise sucks
