Yeah they confirmed it just now.

Not sure I like it. We got two "meh" players for our biggest asset in the expiring contract. With Nene, Seraphin, Vesley and Booker now with Okafor we're kinda **** at the PF/C spot. At least Ariza can shoot though, but both these guys are under contract for 3 years.

Looks like Beal will be the pick now. Lineup 1-3 looks like:

Wall/Mack
Beal/Crawford
Ariza/Singleton


After that I don't know who starts or who's a backup. I want Seraphin to get minutes and Nene played too well to not start, but Okafor will be making a lot of coin to be a backup, and Booker and Vesley are young guys who'll need burn too...

Ye gods, I had no idea Ariza shot so poorly the last couple of years.

Uhhhhh but why? Now do Seraphin, Booker, and Vesely get more than 12 minutes each? This makes no sense to me. And no cap space for the next 2 offseasons.

Exactly the type of move I've been calling for. Maybe not the exact guys I currently want (I'm more interested in guys like Ben Gordon and Marvin Williams at the moment) but I still support adding overpaid veterans on short-term deals.

We're probably going to deal Booker for a SG or SF. There just isn't any room on the roster for him now.

And Blatche better be getting amnestied.

^ They could use Booker to move up to #2 to guarantee they get Beal. But Ariza's presence doesn't rule out MKG either.

Absolutely. With Ariza at the 3, we can forget any MKG talk, and Beal almost has to be the pick.

This is a HORRIBLE trade unless we're getting the #10 pick.

Okafor is redundant with Nene and Seraphin. We simply don't need him. Ariza is a decent wing but not any better than what we can find in free agency. Only with this trade, we obliterate any potential cap room in 2013. I just don't understand it.

Without it, this is just EG getting fleeced as usual.

Well I misread, Okafor and Ariza expire in 2014, so I guess it's not AS bad. And we probably weren't going to get any big FAs with our cap space anyway. Best case scenario we become competitive by 2014 so that when we do clear cap space, we can convince quality FAs to sign with us to make a run.

But how the hell are minutes gunna be distributed at the 4 and 5 spots?
