There's a player Price reminds me of... Oh yeah, that guy named Mack on the Wizards.

Yes, let's replace a bad player with a slightly older, equally bad player. That'll fix things right up.

Sundiata Gaines, Jonny Flynn, and Nate Robinson were better choices. I would have rolled with Scott Machado.

I agree with those of you who think Price is not an upgrade over Shelvin Mack. This one doesn't make sense.

Only Shelvin has a much better assist/turnover ratio and Shelvin is a better defender.

The only name that I'd say is clearly better is Robinson, but he played 23+ mpg last season averaged double figures, so you're assuming he'd want to play 8-10 mpg and make near the minimum as John Wall's caddy. Do you really think he'd settle for that?

I didn't see any contract numbers yet, so we'll have to see if it's just a minimum deal or something more. If it's a small deal, then it doesn't necessarily mean that they won't look to other options as the offseason play out.

Haven't seen him play much, but he has to be better than Mack right?

A competent GM would have auditioned back-ups during SL. Dentmon is probably better than Price, Machado also.

More bumbling by Ernie, he waited too-long for the FA leftovers so he grabs Price. Price and Mack are backing up Wall? Really!?!?

He is at least the 3rd point guard named Price to ever be under contract with the Bullets/Zards. Maybe Ernie got him confused with Mark or Brent.

Nope. They are pretty much equally sucky.

If Wall goes down for more than 10 games, the season is over.

Lyrical Rico is correct to say Nate Robinson is clearly better, but that his role and salary wouldn't match coming off the bench for Wall.

closg00, the audition could have been Justin Dentmon (D-League MVP, Euroleague veteran, solid teammate of Brandon Roy at Washington); Scott Machado (pure PG, Brazilian and with the same agent as Nene), and Gaines (was ahead of Farmar in the rotation with the Nets, also played ahead of Devin Harris earlier).

Honestly, closg, Dentmon might have been the most deserving of an opportunity. Washington's GM really really gets on my nerves!

While I'm not going to overreact, this is a very uninspiring signing.

It's hard to imagine but this guy is probably a downgrade from Mack.

Isn't Jordan Farmar still available? He would have been a much better option than a guy who shot 34% from the field last season.
