Ok, no one took the invite so here it is.

The Wiz beat them there in preseason and Kevin wasn't a factor so maybe they can beat them again even if he is not ready.

Price started six of the team's eight preseason games at the point, averaging 9.6 points.

Third overall pick Bradley Beal, who averaged 11.3 points in the preseason, is expected to share time at shooting guard with Jordan Crawford, who poured in 49 points in two games against the Cavs a year ago.

The Cavaliers reportedly had their eyes on Beal but settled for Waiters at No. 4 before trading three picks for Zeller, Dallas' selection at No. 17.

Waiters started four of the team's seven preseason games, but shot just 34.4 percent from the field.

So to start the season they have.

Price/Pargo
Beal/Crawford/Martin
Webster/Trevor A
Booker/Singleton
Okafor/Ves/Barron

Maybe Randy is thinking more..

Price/Crawford/Pargo
Beal/Webster/Martin
Singleton/Trevor A
Booker/Ves
Okafor/Barron

I expect Crawford will play some PG sets even if Pargo is in there with him just because he is a better ball handler/assists and Pargo is more of a shooter anyway. Plus if Crawford is more focused on PG duties, maybe he won't chuck as much.

Singleton will continue to get some burn at PF until Nene or Kevin return.
Ves will get minute at PF and Center

To start the year, I would guess Randy goes with the top grouping and pulls Trevor A for Martin if Trevor A continues to suck. The games count now. He isn't going to leave him out there if he can't get it done.

Man, if nothing else, Webster is an entertaining interview. What a funny dude. But I like his professional focus.

I expect a pretty close game, but believe the Wiz will pull-out ahead on top. I am anxious to see the Cavs' Zeller play. He was a strong pick-up by the Cavs, and as an Indiana University alum, I am quite familiar with his brother Cody Zeller, who absolutely dominates the court.

Irving is, far and away, the best player on the court. If he plays well, they win hands down. He struggles and we have a shot.

^ I think it'll be close either way. Just wondering how long Wall's out for?

Supposedly, he's out for a month, but he plays for the Wiz, so that's like 3 months.

Pargo's team is going to win for sure. That much is certain. The only question is which Pargo, Jeremy or Jannero?

For all the whining, moaning, griping, pontificating, etc that I've done about the Wizards; the Cavs game is very winnable.

Byron Scott was 19-63 and 21-45 the last two seasons. Kyrie Irving could just as soon go off on John Wall if he were playing than Price. Price might surprise and hit a big shot from outside. Both teams are new to each other and untested. Irving had an injury issue, as well.

Cavs Depth Chart
==================================
PG Irving, Sloan, Je. Pargo
SG Waiters, Gibson
SF CJ Miles, Gee
PF Thompson, Leuer, Samuels
C Varejao, Zeller

This is a game where EG's experienced vets could win out over the Cavalier's youth. Who knows?

I won't make a prediction but it wouldn't surprise to see Wittman outcoach Byron Scott and get a win.

Waiters versus Beal should be fun.

I have a feeling Varejao and Irving will beat us.

A recap of last game

Only this time we will have

Singleton, Booker, Okafor, Martin in the wings and more Webster.

Also Price will start and could get as much as 30 minutes if he can keep up the good play he showed later in preseason. 55 shots and made 49% 25 3 ball attempts and he made 52 % and 77% from the line. Hell, who needs Wall when you have All Star AJ Price on the team.

Hey, why not us getting someone elses outcasts and having them blossom here. Webster looks legit.

They beat them last time with a very limited roster. That has to help them mentally going into the game.

Hopefully Beal shakes off whatever it was that infected him last game. Going against another rookie on a bad team should help.

Looking for the Wizards to start off 1-0
Then they get 3 days off which is good for those injured players to get more rest.
After then Boston game, they get another 3 days rest.

Good scheduling for the Wiz to start the year.

I would too if I were a Cleveland fan. But who knows...it's so early now. I have been happy with Beal's player overall and think he will turn out great, but maybe Waiters will be better.

Anyway, prediction time:

Wizards 115, Cleveland 45

Wiz show off the new defense. Nene makes a Cameo in the fourth quarter uses his jiujitsu prowess to earn a submission victory over Varejao. Beal drops the nice guy act, calls Waiters a fat F%#$ and dunks on him all night long.

The junkyard wizards are born tomorrow.

That might be the worst opening day starting lineup in the entire NBA. Luckily we have our bench mob: crawful, Martel "The Timberwolves cut me because I couldn't outperform Wes Johnson" Webster, and Mr. 15 Foot airball.

Did I actually predict 31 wins? With that lineup we wouldn't win 10 games. Get back soon, John!

Don't know Whits reasoning behind that. Just saw it reported by The Wizards on twitter.

Good Lord why is Ariza starting? I suspect it's for show and that he will be subbed-out early. Crawful will be 6th man.
I think I need to go-back and lop-off a few wins from my 33 win projection.

Looking forward to watching Beal play. Hopefully he'll hit a jumper or two, or this will get ugly.

Irving will dominate in a Cavs rout.

Nene, who was originally listed as "out" for the season opener on Wednesday, has been upgraded to a game-time decision.

Nene won't start, but it's a sign of encouragement that he's been upgraded as he's dealing with the dreaded plantar fasciitis. His foot problems will likely last throughout the year as he's been dealing with the plantar fasciitis since last season, and we'd recommend letting another owner draft Nene considering his uncertain long-term outlook.

Wsh. could give a look at Shaun Livingston to backup John Wall.
