I think this goes to show that traditionally-built teams are generally more successful than gimmick teams.

Heat need a strong screen setting, good rebounding, shot blocking/changing center. Bosh is a PF through and through, and a soft one at that. Joel Anthony isnt going to cut it. Side note: God i hate the way he pronounces his first name...

Even with Bron Bron at PF, the Cryami Heat are still going to need that bruiser in the middle if they want to get past some of the top teams in the east, or some of the teams in the west like the Griz, Lakers etc.

I think they are fine at PG with Chalmers and Cole. They got shooters. Its just a true big man they are lacking. Big men win chips. I know, I know, they won last year, but all I have to say about that is *.

The small-ball lineups are something to pull out when youre up by 10 and you want to push the lead out, or against a weak team.

Well, in fairness, we took Mike Pence off their hands. Taking back Mahinmi is the least they can do.

Jae Crowder hitting the rookie wall a little early

This is only an observation and not intended as a criticism
of the many folks, myself included, who thought he might have
been a good draft choice for us. His current struggles might wind
up being temporary.

Right now, Martell looks better (and he should since MW is a vet).

McGee went 9-9 FG and had 20 points, 8 rebounds and finished +17. (Roy Hibbert went 3-10 FG)

http://sports.yahoo.com/news/miller-lea ... --nba.html

McGee dominated the first half and finished with a season-high 20 points off the bench, helping Denver (10-10) win for 13th time in its last 16 games against the Pacers and for the seventh time in the last nine games in Indy.
Bye bye Beal.

Golden State beat the Nets last night and they look solid so far this year. Steph Curry beasting on his glass ankles and Klay shooting well and there getting contributions up and down the lineup. Won't be easy tonight for the Wiz.

Atlanta went into Memphis and beat the Grizzlies. Horford once again owned the rebounds. The Wizards appear to have played two hot teams these last couple losses.
Bye bye Beal.

The best part of that play is the behind the back dribble. Looking like The Answer in his prime. Then he stumbles and throws it into the parking lot. LOL.

Following Ibaka's physical altercation with Metta World Peace in Friday night's Thunder win over the Los Angeles Lakers, Jackson posted on his verified account: "Somebody tell serg Abaka. He aint bout dis life. Next time he run up on me im goin in his mouth. That's a promise. He doin 2 much."

Guess it could be interpreted both ways. Jackson is such a thug.

Captain Jack is not one to mess with.

Stephen Jackson shares his thought process from parking lot before Club Rio shootout

I've been in too many club fights not to know what's going on. I'm not going to get hit from behind, stomped out and just be laying there. So all of a sudden all these cars pull up and I let off a couple warning shots, like telling everyone to back up.

After that had happened, dude had jumped in his car and planned on trying to kill me. He hit me with his car. He drove straight into me and I flipped up in the air and landed face-first on the ground and knocked all my teeth out.

I hopped right up and lit his whole car up. I didn't think twice because I'm figuring he tried to smoke Jamaal.

Makes me wonder a bit about the bond between MWP and Jackson, because I don't see a whole lot here to make Capt. Jack go off. Could be since they handled business at Detroit in a way I actually understood, they're really close.

I think Jackson's way out of line on this one. In this case, Ibaka didn't have to contest the board so hard, but the Thunder were trying to send a message and rout the Lakers as badly as they could. MWP doesn't need Jackson's help. For the most part MWP is an instigator. Last season he practically decapitated Harden when the Lakers lost to the Thunder. Ibaka has to remember that. I think Stephen Jackson should not have reacted at all to this.
Bye bye Beal.

Dray is killin' it against the Knicks in the 1st quarter. was 6-7 from the field with 12 pts. He's definitely playing a much more economical game this yr. I've been on the record saying we shouldn't have amnestied him (especially since it didn't have any cap benefit), but he would've had a longer leash here, and it could've gotten ugly if it didn't work out.
