Andray Blatche is on 106.7 FM Right Now.....

Its Holden and Danny's show right now and he's basically saying that EG never had his back the last couple of seasons and that the organization pretty much brushed him off and told him to keep playing. He says that he takes full responisibility for being out of shape and horrible last season.

He says Ted believes in winning!

He also says that the organization told the media that he was a cancer and a knucklehead and the players never said he was a cancer or a bad teammate. Also the incident that he didn't want to check back into the game was a complete misunderstanding and that the organization apologized to him about the situation but never told the media about the apology they gave him.

I want to believe his take on Ted (pun intended). But Ted showed this past spring he is clueless.

And we all know EG is a politician and uses all the scapegoats he can to keep his job. Andray being one of them isn't a surprise. I'm glad he takes responsibility... he damn sure should take responsibility for letting a lot of people down the last couple years with his work ethic. But I'm glad he is on a team to be its 8th or 9th man... thats what he should be... management here was stupid to think he could be a starter.

Basically there bringing up past incidents that he was involved in and hes explaining his situations. Alot of them were due to him being immature and stupid.

They paid Andray a lot of money. Even with Gilbert Arenas after his injury, ownership paid a lot of money. The GM scapegoated Blatche, among others, but AB was compensated well financially.

I haven't heard the interview but Blatche hopefully recognizes his good fortune now. NJ is paying him even more and he is in a much better space now.

Blatche is beyond delusional. If I was with the Nets, his comments would be worrisome. Same old blame shifting. Nothing was Blatche's fault.

That said, the Wizards were -- and continue to be -- a piss-poor, crappy organization.

The organization is a joke but Blatche is still a bum.

^Exactly. Not about putting blame on him only because Ted & Ernie decided to give him and extension but WOW, what a loser. No accountability and has an excuse for everything. The amazing thing to me is Ernie and Ted had to have spoken with him in the past. How in your right mind would you give this clown a fat extension after conversing with him?

Not a huge fan of 106.7 for the most part, but sometimes they score a good interview and don't pull ANY punches. This interview is priceless! Andray is still totally delusional.

He never had the professionalism necessary to excel. I see why Jamison went off on him.

I do agree, however, with Blatche about being called a knucklehead. That is wrong for any employer to go there. I'm more disappointed with Flip Saunder's coaching and Ernie Grunfeld's horrible mismanagement than I am in a guy who was rich by 19 and rewarded with a much richer contract by age 23 or 24. Of course he's got a sense of entitlement. Andray is no different than any of my three sons in one respect, often they deflect at the worst times. It is not generally in their nature to see just how much responsible they are for their own predicaments. It is often the teacher's fault according to them. Instead of owning his bad conditioning in the lockout season, Andray is still angry for the Wizards not having his back. Go figure.

Blatche did say he was immature and he was responsible for some things, but he was very defensive about the rest. The interview was personal and not one many athletes would even subject themselves to.

The guy is young and IMO the truth isn't black or white. Somewhere in the middle Blatche won't accept the blame and will blame Ernie; the same guy who paid him.

Sucks to be a Wizard fan, but this is pretty typical for this organization.
