This article says he'd be a lotto pick in this draft. I'm looking forward to seeing him in SL..his size and passing ability makes him a good third guard option to play with Wall/Beal....

The main thing holding back Satoransky from being a blue chip prospect is his lack of outside shooting, which he either will need to improve (Jason Kidd), or overcome (Rajon Rondo, Andre Miller).

Because Grunfeld.

Considering that we aren't making the playoffs, and that Grunfeld is still our GM, I totally buy Satoransky as someone who could have gone in the lottery this year.

They accidentally left out that his turnovers are almost as high as his assists. So, he's a turnover machine who can't shoot, and he's very slow for a PG. Certainly sounds like a lotto pick.

Me too. I'll bet EG blows the lotto pick on him this year, just to show what a bargain he got last year.

I think that article is really overrating him. I wasn't a fan of him at SL. While he made a few athletic plays, he plays with a high center of gravity, which really limits his quickness, has below average ball-handling skills, isn't a good shooter (even though he could improve on this), and he's too slow to guard PGs.

I doubt he ever plays in the NBA. Here's what I think is going to happen: he gets 1-2 more SL invites, but never impresses enough to make the roster, much like Veermenko a few yrs ago.

The author describes him as "in the middle of a breakout year". Unfortunately, his ACB stats this year aren't even as good as his ACB stats in 2010-11 -- two years ago. And his Eurocup stats this year are overall about as good as his Eurocup stats from 2010-11.

In other words... give me a break.

Physically, Satoransky, while tall for his natural position, is still very frail and lacking in lateral quickness. These areas will be most problematic in pick and roll defense and keeping up with speedy point guards.

Didn't we already give Shaun Livingston a couple of shots here? The article also mentions his 31% 3-point shooting, no-wonder Grunfeld is itching to bring Sato into the fold.

I think Satoransky is better than Vesley right now...then again, Jason Collins is a better player too.

He could play next to beal or wall, if he could actually play at all, in another thread i posted his stats some where. He is the best player on a bad team in the euro league.... enough said..... He could develop in to a nice defender with an ok shot. but he might never be the second round steal that E.G. thought he would be.
