They looked pretty good as a team last night. Randy's rotations actually made some sense.
Back to back at home is a lot easier them on the road which is what the Rockets are doing.
Its a playoff team so you have to like their chances.
Hopefully Beal is feeling ok after he took another tough fall.
http://www.monumentalnetwork.com/videos ... ec17ed0000Going to be a big game for the perimeter defense. Beal, Trevor A, Wall, Temple. They are going to have to really get after it.
I guess Jason Collins should be available if needed as well. Big boy may come in handy against their 7-0 Omer Asik

Not particularly worried about Asik, at least not offensively.
I note that the Rockets last night anyway, did not have a real
4 in the game. If they start hurting us from the perimeter (with
players other than the Bearded One) we can try to match up
defensively with Ariza, Singleton, Webster and Booker (who for once
won't be undersized at his natural position).
Can't let Harden (or Lin) explode for a monster game unless
you basically stop everyone else. Even at that, Harden could
carry them. What are the chances of our having another 110+
night on offense which may be required?
I'll be really pissed if somebody like Delfino ends up being a
difference maker.
It'd be nice if we could force them to match up with us instead
of vice-versa. I don't think they can match Oka/Nene. If we're
really lucky, we'll have a Seraphin sighting.

Scored 100 pts in 3 of the last 6 games.
106
102

11-24 from 3 didn't suck last night. 45.8%
The Wizards actually have a decently balanced team now with a good mix of quality vets to go with Wall and Beal. Strong defense and a ball sharing. Passing it around on offense. They can fast break, feed the post or swing is around the outside for open 3s.
They need to continue to build out the depth but.... if you didn't watch the sausage getting made and you just started to tune in now..... what would you see ?
I think I would say. Hmm. This doesn't look like a bad team at all. Why is their record so bad.
Nene and Okafor are a solid professional talented combo in the post and they play really well together. That Beal kid is something special. Nice stoke. Wow. He is only 19 ? He plays so mature. Wall is a little out of control but damn is he fast. And passes pretty well also. Who is that Webster guy nailing from outside. I kind of like him. Nice stoke. Oh cool, they have that Trevor Ariza guy. I remember him from the Lakers when they won a title. I was wonder what happen to him. Looks like he fits in pretty well here. Nice defense. 3rd option scorer. Man is he long.
When did the Wizards gets a basketball team ? And why is their record so bad if they have all these guys ?
I mean if you were just tuning in, it would probably look like that.

Should be a good game. Interesting to see Beal vs Harden. Jeremy Lin and Thomas Robinson are other players of interest. Would like to see Wall have a big game.

6, 7, 3, 7, 2, 6
Those are Wall's turnovers in the last 6 games. He can't keep that up if we want to win some games.

Now that Seraphin's minutes are getting cut to nothing Wall is becoming my least favorite player on in the roation. His TO's are just awful. In addition, watching Wall try to run the clock down and do ISO ball is becoming the most unintential LOL wizards moment this side of Jan Vesely shooting FT's.

Some positive signs for the offense.
http://espn.go.com/nba/hollinger/powerr ... t/vmargL10Ranked 11th in margin over the last 25% of their games and that's against a SOS #3rd over the last 25%
Still ranked last in PPG but that is weighted over the entire season.
A win tonight would be pretty impressive.
Just a damn shame they didn't start the year healthy. Would have been a lot more fun watching them go to the playoff for the first time in several year. That would have been a huge turnaround given last year.

This is should be a good game. Do the Wizards have any offense left after last night? They are going to need it.
--Harden had 46 a couple games back, but Beal also had a great game last night. That will be a great matchup.
--Wall vs Lin is always interesting, but Jeremy has come out winners most if not every time.
--Thomas Robinson will probably make his Rocket debut in front of many of his hometown DC fans.
http://scores.espn.go.com/nba/preview?gameId=400278543The Rockets may have some new faces contributing to the offense as they try to continue their recent dominance of the Washington Wizards on Saturday night in the nation's capital.
Houston (31-26) averages 106.4 points, ranking behind only Oklahoma City's 106.7. The Rockets have been even better during the current 9-4 stretch, averaging 113.8 while shooting 50.0 percent overall and 41.1 percent from beyond the arc.
They flexed those scoring muscles against the Thunder on Wednesday, beating them 122-119 and following it up with a 106-96 victory at Brooklyn two days later. Houston hit 31 3s over those two games, six fewer than its total from the previous four contests.
"The past couple of weeks we've shown flashes, in my mind, of being a really, really, good team," said Jeremy Lin, who had nine points versus the Nets after getting 29 two days earlier.

Ariza needs to play a lot of minutes in this game for his defense.

I don't believe in the Wizards being a top defensive team. They are wayyyy too inconsistent to consider themselves one.

Wow Houston's only gameplan for this game is shoot 3s. We'll see how well that works out for them.
