Wiz @ Orl 3/29/13 7 PM

Post#1 » by hands11 » Fri Mar 29, 2013 1:10 pm

Webster (Abdomen) could be out of action for up to two weeks and said that he has been playing with the injury for the last month, the Washington Post reported. "I wanted to keep playing, but after being pulled out of that game (Saturday against Golden State), and the next day, completely listening to what my body was saying, I need to rest it. Playing on it is only going to make it worse,"

Webster said. "At the latest, I'm looking at the Boston game [on April 7]. It's uncomfortable doing anything (about 5 hours ago)

Beal: Randy said in an interview he wouldn't be back until sometime next week.

Trevor A should be back from the flu by now I would think.

Nene ? I would think they could have him off the bench or rest him some more. Either way.

So when is Price coming back. Dude has missed more games then Nene.

Here is what I hope they do. 11 games left is a season where they got a lot accomplished. They have already proven they are good and can even play good when some injuries. They turned it around. Now its time to get Ves some minutes.

Wall
Temple/Martin
Trevor A/Singleton
Ves/Kevin/Booker
Okafor/Nene

or

Wall
Temple/Martin
Trevor A/Singleton
Ves/Booker
Okafor/Kevin

Good tank move by Webster.

I wonder how long Ariza is going to have the flu? I mean, WTF? Dude has been laid out for 6 days now. Take some pepto bismol and get on the court. I don't know if I can handle watching Singleton and Temple spotting up for corner 3's much longer. (Don't get me wrong, I like Temple as a stopgap. He really plays within himself and he D's up, but he's outclassed talentwise when matched up against starters.)

Looks at Temples shooting numbers for March :D

He has been a pleasant surprise for a DL call up.

Maybe we are not as blatantly tanking as the Suns are ("resting" Dragic), but the tankin' aint easy.

Hands, hell no. Wall has finally turned his career around and you wanna force him out there with Temple & Ves? No. Ves is important but the most important guy by far is Wall and I wanna see him end the year on a great note. I hated seeing Collins out there with him so I definitely dont wanna see Ves.

If we had Beal starting then I wouldnt mind Ves but you cant have both Temple & Ves, espically when you dont know 100% if Ariza is going to be as consistent of a shooter as Webster was. I would love to see Ves play more and maybe even start but the lineup has to be right. You cant start him with Temple & Ariza, espically Temple. You will screw John all up

When I saw the lineup of Okafor, Vesely, Singleton and Temple alongside Wall, I wanted to cry. That has to be the worst collection of shooters ever to share the court at the same time.

Temple isn't really an issue. Wall plays well with him and he is used to having him out there. Temple has actually been shooting well this month if you look at the numbers. And he and Wall have it worked out on the defensive assignments.

And if Wall is hitting his jumper, he is hitting his jumper. Ves or Booker at PF isn't going to change that. Book clearly is the better rebounder. So that probably keeps a few more possessions alive but it don't see Booker or Ves making that much of a difference in what Wall does.

I see little harm in giving Ves the start or using him as first PF off the bench against Orlando.

Orlando might have the worst record if not Charlotte, but the Magic have at least 4 young players who I wish the Wizards had.

Besides Vucevic and Tobias Harris, Moe Harkless and Kyle O'Quinn are really coming into their own. Andrew Nicholson is also a nice player.

The Magic have too many young players, and they're bound to let one slip through the cracks. I think O'Quinn might be a player to target in trades.
Tre Johnson is the future of the Wizards.

Hoping Wall has a nice game again. I think defenses will have adjusted for his ability to nail the mid range and the 3 on occasion and will play him tighter. That just means there should be more opportunities to drive. Just take what they throw at you John.

Well, in fairness, we took Mike Pence off their hands. Taking back Mahinmi is the least they can do.

why have both Ariza & Webster available but neither starting? I hate how Witt makes guys come off the bench so much when they come back

Interior D is laughable right now.. Okafor and Booker aren't even trying.

Great tank plan Wizards. Get beat down by a bunch of rookies and sophmores. Gosh there is no Defense played at all out there. But hey at least another loss will help our draft spot.

Not to be repetitive, but how the hell did Wall get down the court so quickly?
