With the way Wall plays, I'm starting to really really think that Wall may fall victim to a vicious injury similar to Rose's, Rondo's, etc...

Does anyone else feel this way when watching Wall play?
What can he do to improve his chances of not getting injured?

Finally, do you think Wall will sustain this kind of play in the future?

I'm not trolling. I've been a huge Wall fan since his college days. You're telling me this is not realistic at all? The way he plays lends itself to the idea that an ACL tear or a similar injury can occur, especially when considering his prior injuries.

Every player has a chance of hurting them selves seriously regardless if they drive to the rim hard or not. I'm not about to head over to the magic board and ask the probability of Harkless/Tobias and Vuvicic's chance at suffering a critical injury.

If anyone on this team had me worry like that it'd be Beal, he plays with near recklessness with regards to his body. As to Wall, none of his injuries have been related to knee ligaments....Couple ankle sprains and a stress reaction on knee (probably due to weight or something random).

I don't see why anybody would be offended by someone coming to another team's board and asking a question about a possible injury to their star player. Injuries are a part of life, and something ever player should be aware of. If you came to the Magic board and created a similar thread, I wouldn't be offended at all. So, I came to see what the Wizard fans thought about this happening, and if they're okay with him constantly playing the way he has been.

I agree. I don't think it is a bad thing. It is nice to have people coming to the board with a sig longing for your best player. That is something we haven't had a lot of. I am not so worried about catastrophic injury with Wall. I am more worried for overuse injuries, since that is what he has appeared prone to.

Alright, I concede. I never really asked much of a question, and didn't really think this through before creating this thread, so "boo" me all you want. It's just a thought that came to mind, and I thought I'd just post to see what Wizards fans thought.

Just playing man. In half court sets, Wall attacks the basket under control. On the break he can be somewhat reckless. I'm sure he will have some injury problems, but I'm not ready to label him injury prone. If he has a better offseason regiment (no and1 pick up games), I think he will be fine.

John Wall's already been injured. First 33 games of this season. Remember that?

And the same happened with Rose. He had his ankle injuries and then BOOM. ACL tear. Rose and Wall both have similar styles of play in terms of the amount of athleticism used in their games, and that's why I think this is a feasible question.

I'm shocked this thread isn't locked. Why would a fan of another team come to a teams board and ask are we afraid that are best player would have a career changing injury? I guess you can go to the Thunders board and ask about Westbrook. Wall attacks the basket just like him and Westbrook has never missed a game in his career.

MellowRose, we're not all that sensitive. It's just that we're Wizards fans and Wizards fans have PTSD all the time. All the time. If you'd been thru what we've been thru, you'd understand. Yes, the Magic are bad. Quite a bit worse than the Wiz, as it happens. But that's just this year. To be a Wizards fan is to live with the certainty that hope is something you feel for a moment before some power greater than you crushes it to pieces before your very eyes.

Actually I think since he has discovered change of pace and a jumper, he falls a lot less therefor his chance of injury is less.

I used to call him crash dummy because he was all one speed and he would almost always end up on his ass.

Playing the way he is playing now, I think he can have a healthy season next year. Also, he now knows not to over do it to the point of getting a stress fracture.

He is maturing.

Now he needs to learn to eat better.
