I'm watching the Media Day Live stream. I see that the Wizards have (finally) removed the horizontal stripe from the back of their jerseys. Kudos. That'll make the uni numbers far more legible than they were before. It was near impossible to read those numbers from the stands or on a small TV.

I never understood why they had that stripe on the back in the first place. The Unseld era uni had horizontal stripes on the front, but left the back clean.

I hope so. Made them really tough to read.

This makes sense - especially now that the broadcast booths have been moved from courtside.

Would like them to get rid of the stripe in the front as well. Looks tacky and doesnt add anything to the jersey.
