Injuries, At least we are good at something

Post#1 » by hands11 » Sun Nov 3, 2013 2:31 am

So they are two games in and here is the head count.

Opening night, we had three players introduced in suits.

Before Preseason even started:

Okafor ends up with a herniated disk in his neck before playing one preseason game.
Otto hip flexer before camp started.
Singleton broken book before camp started

Two games into the season.

Nene - calf muscle after one game
Wall plays two games and now has muscle spasms in his back and could miss the next game.

So should we do a contest to predict who will go down in game three ?

Booker has to be the front running in that contest.

I'm going to go with the TWEEST and say the next injury will be to GRJ, during practice or between games. It's important to thin out our depth before sucker punching us with another downed starter.

What'll probably happen is we win the next two games and make it through them unscathed. After we're all riding the roller coaster back up, in game five we lose Wall, Beal, or Gortat for the season.

Wait I realize now that, given our history, I'll obviously be wrong.

What'll happen is Wall will return and play on a bad back for a few games, miss games sporadically here and there. Then by December he'll be out for a while, getting tests run, with no timetable for his return. A little while later we'll get word back that he's got some sort of injured spine that developed as a result of poor detection and treatment early on, and will be out until March. The team falls apart. Then in March he comes back, looking rusty, but works himself back into form by April. He plays like an MVP, boosts the team up to 9th place, we finish the year on a 10+ game winning streak, and both Wittman and Ernie get 4 year extensions.

Geezely crow, injuries almost never happen in sports. We're so unlucky.

Good thing our owner made a point of saying we were 2 deep at every position a couple seasons ago.

At least no Wall might lead Randy to dust of Glen and try to make up for the scoring with a 3 ball shooting line up.

Sadly, I keep seeing this pattern where injuries are what are needed in order for our coaches to learn what their rosters can actually do.

As for injuries, Booker has to be the front runner though Trevor A is known to pull up lame as well.

I could say this after pretty much every post you've made recently, but... Are you serious?

Nene will not play vs MIA. Will have MRI on Mon to see what's wrong with left leg. Pain extends from calf to Achilles' tendon #wizards
5:15 PM - 3 Nov 2013

So its not just a calf, its an Achilles. Good preparation Nene. Try stretching your fat ass brother.

And no word on Otto.

BINGO, but Ted said that injuries could not be used as an excuse this-year. Some will want to use the injury/coaching excuse to protect their precious Ernie.

J. Michael @JMichaelCSN

Nene practiced today #WizardsTalk #NBA

Kyle Weidie @Truth_About_It

Nene's status 4 Wednesday seems TBD / game-time decision, but he says he wants to help. How much? He's not sure. #wizards

We should make some kind of forum game IMO to entertain us when it comes to the NBA.

Something to take our minds off the discomfort of tanking.
