@

Raptors will outrebound the Wiz by double digits. #FireGrunfeld. I can't believe they got rid of Colangelo.

I just don't see us committing to the defense end like that...

Derozan seems to have Beal's number. He scored 24 and 25 the last two times he matched up against Beal as a starter.
This year, Derozan is having a season much like Beal's. He is scoring a ton on heavy usage in heavy minutes, but with mediocre efficiency. Derozan gets to the FT line more and turns the ball over less, but he lacks Beal's ridiculous 3-point accuracy.

This score looks tasty.

Judging from what I've read, Casey doesn't play JV much after the first quarter. DeRozan and Gay take the majority of the shots.

I LOVE the Raps board (fav non-wizard board on realgm). They have like 75+ posts in their gamethread already! Their sigs are hilarious!
I think Toronto has always had a great homecourt crowd. We could easily lose this one.

Rudy gay to miss first 30 shots and hit game winner. Fans to denote him as "clutch"

Wizards are generally allergic to prosperity. Beal and Nene are due for an off night and of course, we have no bench to pick up the slack. I sense a loss.

Wall goes off for 25 tonight. He's due for a big scoring night. Wiz win by 4

My expectations?
- Starting five look good and play all or most of the first quarter.
- Randy turns to 2-4 none offensive role players at the same time and Wizards lose momentum and pts.
- Board says our bench sucks.
- Randy brings back starters and they spend the next 2-4 minutes trying to stop the bleeding which they eventually do while losing any lead we had going into the half.
Rinse .. Repeat
Comes down to the nail bitter. I have no idea if the starters can pull it off. If they do, its going to take another huge game from Nene and Beal to overcome that strategy. Basically I expect something similar to the Cleveland game only the starters should have slightly fresher legs since its not a back to back.
Beal, Webster and Nene seem to be in a zone so I expect more of the same from them.
A Wizards win could jolt them to as high a the #4 slots in the East with ...
4 games at home and 8 on the road and a pretty tough schedule of road game to start the year having played road games at MIA, OKC, DAL, and SA.
I would consider that a decent start considering how bad things looked early with AH getting minutes and Trevor A starting. Specially if they end up 3-5 on the road. Every game means something big when you are shooting for the playoffs. Win, and things look pretty good. Lose, not so much.
My prediction was that Randy would only discover the better line ups when forced to by injury so a special thanks to Trevor A and AH for going down early and hopefully saving the season. That said, hopefully Trevor A returns soon to bolster the bench. Just like last year. Then hopefully we get Otto on the court and Randy doesn't bench Temple and Ves in the process. If so, the depth will start looking good.

The force is strong with you, my young padawan...
Agree with the sentiment. Hoping for the best, but expecting the worst

Nene has been Balln the last two game and also is 10-10 from the line and Wizards haven't missed a FT now in two games going 15-15 and 14-14.
That's a real turnaround.

Hard to believe Beal shot only 34% from the college 3.
