Wall named Player of the Week

Post#1 » by DCZards » Mon Nov 25, 2013 8:28 pm

Wall has been named NBA Player of the Week. Great to see him getting some love. Wall is clearly the kind of person whose play rises and falls on his mental state. He needs to feel confident and appreciated to thrive. So this can only help. Kudos to JW.

Will Jonathan Joseph rear his ugly head? Stay tuned folks. :)

Congrats to John Wall. He certainly has picked it up now. Hope he can keep up the pace, and his teamates join in the fun. If the rest of the team can hit 3-5 more shots a game, our record could be much better....and JW will get a bunch more assists.

Congrats to John Wall! And Ves has shown a pulse over the last few games. Who knows, the season is still young! :D

John's transformation last year to an elite level of play happened really quickly.
IIRC, there was a very subpar game in DET, lots of criticism (not necessarily unwarranted)
and questions/skepticism about whether he would realize his potential. Then boom. He won
PotM in MAR. Like a rocket blasting off.

fingers cross for a repeat on that - Him playing at a very high level is probably the single
biggest key to the zard's success. I think I said that before.

Congrats. Even in his first two seasons he would have stretches of poor play followed by stretches of strong play. There isn't a lot of middle ground with him. Here's hoping that his poor stretches become fewer.

OK now i am going to hold my breath until JJ apears. If you don't see me post again you will know why.

Great news for John Wall, it's time to capitalize on his success and drive forward.

I've been critical of John Wall and will continue. However, it's nice to see some love coming his way.

Congratulations to Wall. He's been a pleasure to root for. He's my favorite player and he has me excited to watch the Wizards every night.

Playing 4 games in 5 nights is always tough, but the stange thing is that Wall couldn't buy a shot in the first two games and then went nuts in the last 2. When you consider the pace he plays, and the fact that he played 40 minutes per game, how did he have the legs to show out on the 4th game in 5 nights?

Granted it was against the Knicks but still impressive.
