No Nene? No problem to tank.

The outclassed Wizards

These are games we should be winning but a depleted team is hurting us bad.

Depleted in my view means a lack of bodies.

We have bodies that were all picked pretty highly in the draft. The front office further fails the fans here. How hard is to draft Faried and Klay Thompson or Kwahi Leonard or one of the Morris twins... I mean there's two of them. :P

#FireGrunfeld. KSLife, Booker, Vesley, and Singleton proving their uselessness for another year!

is Nene definitely out? Thought he just didnt wan to play back to backs right now. Either way, again Im going to put this on Wall to carry us. This is not the Pacers. Wall has to carry the team in games like this and he has to start consistently dominating his peer PG's. If he has a big game like he did against the Raps and we lose then thats on the other guys but if he plays like the last 2 games and we lose then its on him. Has to win this game at home or atleast do his part

I wonder if Wall even sees the glaring weakness in his 2-game skid -- free throws.

He had 2 free throw attempts vs. Milwaukee (both of which came from late game intentional fouling by Milwaukee).

He had none yesterday.

If he doesn't realize this and isn't being talked to by coaches/management, then there's a giant problem here. This is absolutely unacceptable from a guy who should be getting to the line 8-10 times every game, putting pressure on the defense and getting opposing bigs in foul trouble.

Haven't seen any news about Nene. He's listed as day to day, he might play. I hope he does.

I will say in his defense that he had some solid looks on some J's that he has to knock down but even moreso, I thought both teams trapped him like 80% of the time on picks. It looked way harder for him in these 2 games then all the previous games. Like he had to dribble alot more because they kept trapping him around the pick or pushing him out further. Hopefully everyone cant duplicate that or Wall-Witt will just have to adjust and maybe swing the ball quicker

On the flip side, he did score when he drove so he has to stay on attack and not fall in love with the J

I don't now why people are expecting a win...that's just ridiculous. This team is not built to deal with starters missing. The drop from starter to bench player is humongous.

I have no beefs with Wall's play this season. You can demand perfection but you certainly shouldn't come to expect it. Plus, Wall's "exceeds expectations" credits is vastly outstripping the "below expectations" debits on the gripe ledger. His FT attempts have been low the last 2 games but his FT% over the entire season has been amazing. What if I told you John Wall was 17th in the league in FT%, sandwiched between Steph Curry and James Harden? You should be 1 word: Agog. He's also 3rd in assists but only 9th in turnovers. 4th in steals. It's all very encouraging.

In fact, I'm considering downgrading my hatred of EG from loathe to mere contempt if we can somehow steady our win/loss to avoid giving up a draft pick.

This is a game that we could definitely take with Nene and Beal, but without them we are pretty much outmatched. Not expecting a W

THIS! He still has some mental meltdowns here and there, doing the exact opposite of what he sould be doing, but all in all, Wizards fans should be happy that he is not acting like a prima donna chucker like Kyrie Irving.

He's probably the best defender at the PG position and is stepping up his game since Nene's ' i'm getting tired of this'

The problem is consistency. Wall's outstanding efforts coincide with an attacking mindset coupled with high free throw attempts. What will take him from star to superstar is an always-aggressive mindset. That way, when he shoots 4/14 from the field, he can still have a positive impact on the game.

Re: doubling -- he's being doubled because of constant use of the pick and roll to start our offensive sets. I have no problem with the P&R but I'd like to see them mix it up and run some iso's for Wall to capitalize on his ability to separate from his defender with ease.

Nene doesn't look fit. He just can't be getting blocked at the rim by Cartier Martin.
