This one will get ugly. Looking at our schedule we could be quite a few games under .500 soon.
I'm hoping we lose every game from here on out

Doesn't bode well. Expectations at all time low.

The frustrating thing is, you would think they would`ve come out strong after the great finish to 2013. They have lost 2 winnable games, at home.

Why are Wiz fans acting like we suck so much? Before the Mavs game we were 12-2 in our last 14 games with either Nene or Beal. We were playing some really good ball. Weve just hit a funk that all teams hit at some point. We will bounce out of it again. We just have to find our rhythm.
This is the perfect game for us right now. GS is a very good team but they like to get up & down the floor which suits us. We should have more energy and focus after these 2 terrible performances. Sooner or later shots will start to fall for someone and become contagious.
The biggest reason I like this game is Wall. I feel he has been distracted by his eye injury. However, Curry is an elite peer and this is the same team Wall got ejected against last year when he was on his tear so I think he wants to come out strong. Either way, Im not worried about the opponents like you guys are. Its all about the Wiz. If we played like we were playing then we probably beat both Dallas & Toronto. Its not that we arent good enough to beat them. Its that we lost our rhythm at a bad time.
We have a tough sked like someone pointed out but we are still capable of winning against those teams when we find our rhythm again. The bad thing is that funks can last a long time and our guys seem to be getting a lil tight right now. I think this team has some kinda resolve though and should bounce out of it sooner or later. If Wall leads the way like I think he can then it will uplift the others. Either way, we arent nearly as bad as some are acting and will break out again in due time

I personally don't think the Wiz suck or are bad. I think they are mediocre, and their record supports that. I have no doubt they will "break out" soon. I also have no doubt that they will slump soon too. That's what average teams do.

but see, I disagree with that. I dont think its just simple to look at our record or look at how we played the last 2 games. We started 2-7 losing alot of close games mostly due to Wall playing very passive. If he were aggressive like now or at the end of last year we wouldve won alot more. Still, we got all the way back to 9-9. Then we lost 4 straight, the first 3 by a total of 7pts. All of those games were without Nene, Beal, basically Porter, and no Harrington. Most teams are going to lose without 2 of there 3 best players. If we have just one of them we win those games.
Again, why are people ignoring that coming into the Dallas game we were 12-2 in our last 14 games with either Beal or Nene on the floor? Thats not mediocre. Its unreasonable for us to expect to be fully healthy but its not unreasonable to expect us to lose without 2 of our 3 best players. Even now both of those guys are on a minutes count basically. Still though, we have no excuse for the last 2 games but that we are in a funk which I believe will be broken soon. If you lose while scoring respectably then that means you are a bad team but if you are struggling to get to 80 then that means you have lost rhythm and are in a funk that even the best teams hit at some point.
Now I will say this, I do believe that in every sport in the regular season and in the playoffs that there are games you are suppose to win so if you lose them it puts you in a whole and effects your record. Meaning our team was good enough to be alot better than 2-7 but mostly Wall's passive play put us in that whole. Those were games we were suppose to win so I feel like it lessens our record. The same with the injrues. Next year that shouldnt happen. Stil though, I think we can get to .500 and not look back. Does that mean we will be 50 wins or better? Maybe not but an average record doesnt truly mean youre an average team if you have some legit excuses and I believe we have "some". Only time will tell though.
Still, my main point is this. I hate it so much when fans judge teams by there worst play. Its like you see these 2 terrible games and all of asudden we are suck and should tank or we are average at best. You cant just look at things that simple when its clear we are in such a funk that we wouldve lost to any team in the league. Atleast wait until we get out the funk to judge. Again, we can get out the funk and still lose games. Thats when we should be ripped or judge but struggling to score 80 is a bad groove and the team shouldnt be judged on that unless it happens repeatedly

^Washington has played one of the weakest schedules in the league so far, so those records are skewed. We've barely played any West teams.
The team is not good. They aren't horrible, but they aren't good either. And at the end of the year, their record will support that. They'll lose to teams better than them (55-60% of the league) and win against lesser teams.
The Wizards have, maybe 5 good NBA players. Most everyone else on the roster is mediocre or wouldn't see the court on a good team. A team that doesn't have depth isn't going to be very successful. This is why management is important.

And worst of all, because of how terrible the East is, we'll probably make the playoffs with 34 or 35 wins and lose out on our first round pick.
Thanks, Ernie!

It's hard to be optimistic before this game. I don't expect win for us, but at least lose will be no disappointment. GSW have
the best starting five.

see, I dont agreee with that. I agree that its skewed but its skewed both ways. We havent played alot of good teams but weve also been hurt. My point is I think we are better then all of you think we are and if we are healthy we will win alot more of those games against the top teams then others think we will. I firmly believe that. At one point we had the 4th rated started unit in the whole league. 4th. Better than all those great teams. We lost because at the same time we had the worst rated bench. Last. Now with the health getting better, so is our bench. We will be better then people think.
With that being said, I still think Witt sucks so its almost like I dont want us to win but I thnink he should be gone next year either way.

Dlts20...I don't know why you keep bringing up "the last 2 games." I'm not just looking at the last 2 games. I am looking at all the games. While we have played well at times, we have also played poorly at times and have lost a bunch of winnable games. I also think its foolish to judge a team "while at full health". Virtually no team is always going to be at full health. That is why you have to have a quality bench that is deep, which we don't. Listen, its fine that you think we have a better than average team. You seem to be an optimist all the time. Nothing wrong with that. Ultimately, the record at the end of the season will tell us what kind of team they are. Right now, they are 2 games below .500 in a pathetic Eastern Conference and they have played a relatively easy schedule. Right now, they don't look like anything but a mediocre team. Hope I am wrong, but I don't think I am.

I think part of the concern is the team is healthy short of Glen, and Nene and Beal being on minute limits. They have logged 30 games in now so teams have scouted them well. You can focus on just a few things and take the Wizards out of their game on offense and expose them on defense if you have the right players to do it. And good teams have those players.
No Okafor is a big part of why they can't beat the better teams. Actually, no Crawford and Price is having an impact as well. Crawford could get aggressive with the ball in his hands playing SG or PG and get really hot, and Price could hit from outside and defend.

It's the NBA man, every team has been 'hurt'.. Wade is in and out of the lineup in Miami, Igoudala was out for GS, LAC just lost Paul for a couple weeks, and of course Rose, Kobe, Brook Lopez, etc the list goes on.
The difference is that good teams aren't built like the Wizards. Good teams have an actual system/philosophy in place, and their management makes it a point to acquire supplementary players who fit their system. The Wizards are just a random collection of players with no competent leadership or unifying philosophy to guide them.
And you are completely right that Wittman sucks for this team. He's basically a laughingstock of the league at this point, every time I read/hear national media about the Wizards he's being crapped on. Randy is an intelligent guy, but clearly isn't in touch with the pulse of the team and that's become more obvious in recent weeks. Canning him and hiring Karl or Hollins would be a dream come true.. but that likely isn't going to happen during the season so, oh well.

again, I disagree. Listen to what I said. You are talking about 1 guy from all those teams. Im talking about 2. We can live without Porter, we can live without Harrington, we can get by without the Ariza's & Websters for teh games theyve missed. We can even get by without Beal or Nene but we cant get by without both. That is unreasonable for the most part. You can come close like we have in nearly every game but its hard to win wihtout both of those guys. My point is weve won when weve had Wall to go with a Beal or a Nene. It doesnt have to be both but you need that 2nd guy. Those injuries you named are to 1 main guy. Also, I still didnt say we were the Heat or anything like that

same thng I said to illmatic. Im not talking about full health. Just give us 2 of 3 guys and we have won games after the slow start. It doesnt matter. We can debate all day but time should tell soon enough. We will break out the funk and should have Wall with either one of Nene or Beal for a solid stretch. If we dont improve then you guys are right but I think we will hold our own better than some think

Yes, but we don't start with Nene anymore. If we do bench sucks badly.
