Last year, even though our team was worse, I always thought we had a chance to beat any team (sans SA). This year I do not feel the same way. Expecting a blow out.

So far this season, we've played 6 games against legitimately good teams:
@ Miami
@ OKC
@ San Antonio
@ Indiana
vs LA Clippers
vs Golden State
We lost all of them, and all but the OKC game were blowout losses. (We lost to OKC by 1.)

I wonder how the players feel. Away game at the Pacers is pretty damn daunting.

I didn't think this team feared Indiana last year... Wall had one of his best games when the 1978 Bullets were honored at the 35th anniversary game back in April and there were other close games IIRC last year.

Also, earlier this season, Gortat really seemed to handle Hibbert pretty well. He played some rock solid post defense.

I'd be truly astonished if we won. IND is like 17-1 at home this year.
Maybe they're due for more home losses but I'd still be very surprised.
Wall would have to be a monster and get outstanding games from
probably at least 3 other guys and I mean outstanding games. Could happen
but I wouldn't bet on it. We need a hot 3 pt shooting night from at least
1-2 of the usual suspects. And great execution at both ends.
MIA looks suddenly mortal though. They just lost to the Nix.

The only help the Wizards might get is if Stephenson is out. Sounds like he will be, but who knows if that will help the Wizards any.

Granger will go off for season highs tbh

**** all the pessimists in here, we're winning this. Wall, Beal and Jan all go off.

Yawn's career high is 16 iirc. He had a perfect 8-8 game at the end of his
rookie year against maybe CHA which was a truly horrible team at the time.

By my tally, the Wizards have won only one three games against teams with better than .500 records at the time of the game: Philly (when they were 3-1), Minnesota, and Atlanta. And Atlanta was missing Korver that game.

I say Wiz find a way to win... Then all the players can talk about "turning the corner" and proceed to lose the next 5 games to keep with the theme of this season.

Wiz need to win 1 of Houston/Indy this weekend.
They are 16-17 and they head out West in 2 weeks.
My prediction they go 6-6 the rest of the month. But this could be the month the wheels fall off to be honest. I wish I can find a site with strength of schedule by month since on paper, it looks tough. Warriors, Clippers, Miami, Indy, Houston. 2 against Chicago

http://www.monumentalnetwork.com/videos ... ame-1-8-14Kind of feels like they are pretty ready. My guess....I expect them to battle this game. But like every game, it starts with how does Booker match up. If he is doing well, I expect them to be right in it from the start. If not, Randy needs to change earlier enough that they don't dig to big a hole. Then you are counting on that change helping. Ves has been playing well defensively. And last game his teammates looked to get him the ball so he showed some offense. But that combination of events is only one game so its nothing to bank on.
Should be a good test. If they can hang in there and make it a battle, that would be a huge step for the team. 33 games into the season and they are still ironing out the rotations and minutes. Gotta get past that stage to get better. Over the last 3 games it looks like Randy is getting a better handle on things. But again, 3 games is not enough for me to feel confident in anything he might do. Which is why this game would be a big test. If Randy coaches it well and the players show up, they should be able to make this a good game.

Yeah. They need a scalp. Got the road win things working. But lost of all the good teams. I think they will be up for this one. They know they really need this. I expect good effort from Wall.

Whoever Beal covers will put up supastar numbers. Indy by 23.
