This will be our last chance at "that team accomplishment which shall not be named" for a while.
Not scared of the Jazz. Let's get this W.

The East is tightening up with Brk finally getting it going. Before long, the top 7 team will all be over .500 and its only going to get tighter. If they Wizards really want to be in that 3-6 slot, they better keep playing more like they did that last game. And to do that, they are going to need to tweak the roster.
They simply have to get some PG help from some where. Temple is a nice piece, but not good enough to be a primary back up PG handling the ball against pressure.

Still want Enes Kanter. He had a terrible start to the season...his per 36 stats and efficiency aren't all bad though. I'm guessing he picked it up a bit.
If Favors isn't playing we got to pound it inside. Attack a whole lot. Kanter isn't really a help shot blocker IMO (not yet anyways).
The good thing I noticed last night about the box score was that I don't think anyone went over 36 minutes of floor time. Getting to 2-0 on this road trip would be awesome. Hopefully the guys are aware of that and come out with the same defensive intensity. Shouldn't sleep on Hayward or Williams, those guys can shoot.

Just a feeling I have, but I think the Wiz come out focused in this one and will have a very large lead(25 pts) late in the second. Things will get dicey in the second half, but Wiz win by 10. 106-96.

Sounds about right.
They are simply more focused on the road. Thats the edge they need to beat the teams like Utah.
This sets up well for a predictable win. Total Fup against Boston at home. Focused high energy win against PHX on the road. Next night Utah to get over .500
Everything good and bad is still fresh in their minds and the good happened just last night.

I called it after the Boston game that the Wiz will win the next 2 so they can get over .500
I also said Wall would be less aggressive after Witt's idiot comments. Im hoping he doesnt but Im pretty sure he stays that way tonight. I felt that Wall could be good enough to win these games because these team play a style of play that benefits his game but it might not happen now. Either way, they want to be over .500 and I see us as good enough to beat the Jazz with a team effort. Then Im hoping after that Wall is so hyped by it that he comes out hard and attacking against GS, especially after getting ejected there last year.
People may wonder why I care but its all the same thing I was saying at the start of the season when we were 2-7 and I felt that Wall wasnt even trying to be a Superstar. Its not about playing well like last night. He's good enough to do that. I want him to try to play like a Max guy and the #1 overall pick in the draft. Thats how we get great, win a 1st round matchup, and give Mia or Ind a good run in the 2nd round. Every other elite star max guy is playing great just about. I felt Wall was eitehr playing near that level or trying so I was satisfied. Hopefully the idiot coach didnt take that aggression back away from him. He is good enough and those teams play a style of play where he could get 25 & 10 on this trip efficiently. Dont hold him back. That still gives us our best chance

Thanks. Honestly, I thought it can be only one thread, but surprisingly Wizards beat Suns. Good we have another
road game tonight.

Is it bad that I'm more worried about Burke busting us up than Hayward? It doesn't seem like Wall deals well with smaller, scrappy guards.

that and I don't he takes "non established" PGs all that seriously until the damage is done. He's lock down when he wants to be, just wish it was more often. At least it balances out to him being a good defender.
Webster being game time again obviously hurts. Randy might want to get creative tonight...Lucas the III is slow enough for Maynor to keep himself in front of....right? Right?

If we start strong and make some 15+ points lead I would like to see Ottoman for 20 minutes.
But this 'if' word is crucial.
