I really believe this game falls to the Beal/Thompson matchup - even though neither is close to being his team's top player. Thompson destroyed Beal the last matchup, and the rest of the Wiz team can't make up that difference. Look at the other matchups, and it's tough to win any of them:
Bogut v Gortat
Lee v Nene
Iggy v Ariza
Curry v Wall

That's why you you're DOA against GS if you get beat up at the shooting guard position. No more excuses.

No excuses necessary. They're better than us. We're getting crushed.

^Agree on the Thompson versus Beal matchup. Last matchup Wall & Curry pretty much was a wash but Thompson, Bogut, and David Lee really just dominated Beal, Booker, and Gortat. Posting up Gortat versus Bogut would be a big mistake and he should be used strictly in pick & roll today. I'd try to send Nene at Lee to wear him out and hopefully get him in foul trouble.

This is tired. I read a lot of the same stuff when we played Miami after Lebron made his declaration and when we played Phoenix. You never know what to expect with this group. That being said, I don't expect a win but coming off two days rest and the a$$ kicking this team gave us last time, I want to see some pride and professionalism leading to a competitive effort. If we lose by 10, so be it but we better not be down 25 in the 3rd quarter again

It's kind of weird to look at the thread title and realize our records are fairly similar.

I concur, and to me - that's what no excuses means.

You forgot to say something derogatory about Nene.

I think Wall and Ariza can win their individual match ups but like others have said before me, it's all up to Beal vs. Thompson. Klay absolutely destroyed Bradley last time they matched up. We were still in the game at half-time, but we gave up a huge run in the third that knocked us out of contention. Klay needs to be locked down, but Curry is also a threat. I think Wall will show up because Curry recently got picked to start the ASG. John always seems to play at a higher level against high-ranked PGs (Except for chris paul).

Nice job, FAH.

Recently we play terrible bb against poor teams (BOS, UTA) but really well vs good teams (MIA, PHX) so after all maybe we have a chance to make a surprise. GSW still has the best starting 5 in the league so this is gonna be a bench X-factor game in my opinion.

Good point. He's due to limp off mid-3Q with some sort of lower body ailment. After the game, he'll express his faux-stration and let us all know how much pain he's been playing in. But hey, it's out of his hands. It's all up to his god.

Love 10:30 starts. The kids are in bed; the wife is shutting down for the night. I can sit back and watch in peace (that is until I see Ernie's bench come in :x )

Do we have an above average or below average 3 pt shooting night? Do Beal's wide open three pointers fall in crucial situations or not? Do crazy desperation 30 foot three pointers fall for the opposition?

Doesn't seem to matter who we play. Complete crap shoot. I frankly have no idea if we're going to win or not. The real question is, do I care? Not sure.

Beal and 3pt shooting is a far distant secondary thing to me. This game is mostly all about Wall. If hes passive like the past 2 games then we are getting skunked but I'm betting he says screw Witt and goes back to attacking. He is going out to prove he's a true All Star who should be starting who should've made team USA, is as good as Curry, and wants payback for getting kicked out last year in the middle of the stretched when he was torching reams.

If that guy shows up, don't be shocked if we win since we're on the road, its not for .500 and we've beaten 2 very good teams recently despite losing to 3 scrubs
