Greg Oden All Father

Now that Oden has been able to come back and play well. How much do you think he'll get in fa this summer and who is likely to try to sign him?

I mean he still has a long way to go and you cant play him a lot of minutes, but when he is on the court he is a good guy to have on the court. good 2/3 center for any team. Houston would be smart to get him to play behind howard once they trade asik. Howard would play most of the minutes anyway, oden could take the last 10-12 minutes.

I'm trying to decipher the thread title. Sounds slightly biblical.

I don't believe he will stay healthy enough, sooner or later he will be on the injured list once again and won't play consistent minutes in this league. It's just the same risk like with lazy-ass Bynum signing.

Also Greg Oden All Father ? eee?

It sounds to me like he's either been reading Norse mythology or watching Thor.

Exactly! Based on Odin from the same mythology as Thor. He is also known as the All Father of the gods and ruler of Asgard.

C'mon, haven't you seen those cheesy Chris Hemsworth movies? (Actually, Eminem also makes a brief reference to Asgard in his recent "Rap God". )

And so ends trivia Friday on the Wiz board! :D

More like decidedly pagan. LOL Based on Odin from the same mythology as Thor. He is also known as the All Father of the gods and ruler of Asgard.

We used to call kids Ass Guards on the playground but it was never a reference to Norse mythology

Okay, I was wondering what in Oden's name was going on here.

This thread ended up surprisingly entertaining.

Thank you Wiz brethren.

Finish it off....

thine courtside come
thy knees will buckle and swell
as it did in the beginning.
give us this day, thine injury list.
And forgive us, our inflated expectations
As we forgive those who expect as much.
Deliver us from multi-year signing
For thine is the potential,
of slams and blocks
from never to never.
Oden.

Do we still have moderators?

How about locking this lunacy or merging into the free agency thread.

Moderators? They have been active participants in this discussion, too specific to be called "random," especially considering the words "free," "agency," and "thread" in the context of human existence with or without God or gods.

Here, anonymously, at a place where mathematics, immortality, and extreme coupon clipping congregate, friend and outlander discuss or merely listen, free of judgment. Who can put a price on that? How can you merge that?

Monte, whatever you're on I need to give that name to my doctor. :)

In all seriousness, I think there is a good movie script in what you just described.
