IDK about most. Its just 3 guys and they still have some big names left. Should be an interesteing game. Another heated matchup between Wall & Kyrie. Wall didnt play horrible but he was somewhat passive. Only took 9 shots and for most of the game it was just 7. Usually after that he is full out aggressive the following game and I think he will do that after the game winning play. We play with more fire on the road and I think they are confident. With Dre & Al, our bench is a lil deeper so the b2b shouldnt kill us

I agree with the confidence part. I think that the team will be pumped after a close win and will come out strong. Again, it's going to come down to John defending Kyrie. Should be a good one.

Agree. Should be interesting since Cleveland always gives us fits.

Adding Hawes, and with Bennett and Zeller improving, the Cavs have a bunch of pieces now. Question is - are they going to fit into a cohesive unit at both ends of the floor? Hawes might put up good stats, but is he taking away PT from better all-around players - or at least players who were finally starting to develop into better all-around players? My feeling now on them is they're a team that's putting an emphasis much more on offense than defense - and that's probably not a recipe for success. If the Wiz play good D, they should win.

Home cooking weighs him down? Much DC night life keeping him tired? Girlfriend taking his legs/energy?

Or, Beal presses less on the road? Hotels and room service agrees with him? He could have less distractions on the road.

I think part of it is the weird vibe at Verizon. I think it makes our guys nervous. Its very quiet and empty feeling. Then at the 1st sign of trouble you can feel the nervous energy of the crowd. I think think our guys are tight alot at home but feed off the energy of the crowd on the road and play more free

BTW, Im finding it very annoying that we are favored tongiht. I was thinking of making a small wager but I thought we would be the underdogs by a few points considering Cavs just won 6 in a row before the Raps loss

good point and virtually always true, at least against bottom feeder teams like CLE.

seems kinda bizarre - a better argument if you want to make the case that Randy is
an utter failure might be because Wall/Beal don't get ENOUGH flack for too many long 2s.
I thought this was what they are instructed to do.

To be honest, I don't mind long twos from Bradley at all. I do mind when he takes contested twos. When Bradley gets off a clean look it almost always goes in. His stroke is too nice. He just needs to learn that the offense doesn't need to run through him.

I wasn't implying that Randy was the one criticizing them. I'm talking about the fan base. What is Wall supposed to do in the pick and roll when Nene/Gortat are useless when they are more than 10 feet from the basket. The paint is clogged with this team 90% of the time.

This game will come down to beal v waiters. So much focus is paid to Wall/Irving but the beal/waiters matchup absolutely killed us last matchup.

IDK if I buy the paint clogged argument. It obviously would be better if we had a spacer but there have been some good penetrators on teams with 2 low post bigs. I still think the biggest issue is the way Flip/Witt teach the bigs how to set the pick. It isnt designed to truly pick off the guy to give Wall the blow by. Its more designed to get the big man open for the pass to come back or for the PG to take the J. Thats the biggest issue to me. When Flip was here, guys like KS wouldnt even set a pick. They would take off before the defender got there a 100% of the time so Wall had no choice but to thow it back.

Eddie Jordan isnt a great coach but one thing he made sure of is that he was going to free Gil up. Haywood would get so tight to Gil on those screens and if it didnt work the 1st time then they may do it 2 or 3 times in the same possesion until Gil had the advantage and was then one on one with the big man. Miami won a title with Wade pretty much doing that every play.

Both Wade & Gil split the double team alot also. I rememer Wall trying to do that when he 1st got here only to realize that it doesnt work with how our bigs are taught to set the pick so he never even try to split it. Wall and our guards go horizontaly off the picks. Its never attacking or going North. They go sideways because thats what the system is
