I'd have to say that the Clippers guy was worse in this case.

Very thankful Ernie's latest attempt to get Caron back failed. Just jaw-dropping that he has at-least twice tried to trade for the oft-injured and declining CB.

Just absolutely jaw-dropping ineptitude between the two of them. EG should be fired for this alone - unless there was a first rounder being included or something.

Most self-satisfied owner of a mediocre team in history.

Whenever I read Ted's self-serving crap, I see his mouth moving but Ernie doing the talking/thinking.

The Wizard playoff series will sell-out, Ted will make money, and his PR operations will sell-hard on next-years ticket sales before we even know what the roster will be.

LOL Ji is the worst. Always looking for the dark cloud.

Here the squad is surging, playing well and headed -- in the short term anyway-- in a positive direction with a squad that is fun to watch and easy to cheer for, and one of the players that Ernie traded for goes berserk, and _that's_ the moment Ji necromances up a story that didn't actually happen. My man, chicken little, always looking for disaster where it might have been. :clown:

There are plenty of reasons to get pissed at Ernie, reasonable reasons, thoughful and forelooking reasons to deconstruct him, plenty of reasons --FOR WHICH THERE IS ALREADY A THREAD-- but come on now, to take the success of Ariza's great play and turn it into a complaint about something that DID NOT HAPPEN is looking for the arsenic used to extract the silver lining from that cloud.

All you need to know about my man JI. HIs last name is Hate-'em. Too funny, stirring up the rest of Henny Penny and Goosey Loosey and all.

I have trepidation about the future, look askance at many past moves, but am enjoying the heck out of our recent play. I'm almost ready to go into denial mode and pretend the future and past do not exist for the next couple months, just get Zen enjoy the heckoutta this current run.

And from that very narrow perspective Ted is right.

For a player who never played well again in Gilbert, GMEG flipped him for another garbage contract, but then turned that into Okafor who helped mentor Wall at a critical moment, plus Ariza whose on court value has actually exceeded his pay, and then when Okafor was injured he flipped him for a productive center who is helping carry the squad when our front court is decimated with injury.

Under the gun GMEG always manages to save his job. How to translate that desperation into a championship, or a dynasty, I dunno. A series of one year contracts I suppose :clown:

Gave up a pick though. Not a good thing.

Right. That sucks. I'm trying to pretend that didn't happen. It'll be easier to pretend if Gortat re-signs, at a cheap enough price, and continues to play well or improves. But again. In the limited brackets of this season if that was the only way to get him, he's a pretty good addition, worth a mid-1st pick for sure.

EG is the worst. Please don't forget that this is the same GM that traded the #5 pick in the draft the Minnesota for to bench players that only played in DC for 1 or 2 years at a mediocre level. That pick could've landed us Stephen Curry. He trades our first round picks like they have no value and draft them like they don't matter. Can someone answer this. Who has traded away the most 1st round pick in there tenure as a GM on there rookie contract? And what are there names?

Also, name me a rookie we've had outside of John Wall and Bradley Beal that has been productive for the Wizards to a playoff run?

If you build a team through the draft, there lies a perfect reason to find a new GM.
