The last home game of the season.
Riding a modest two-game winning streak into Monday night's game, representing the most powerful city in the world, YOUR Washington Wizards welcome our visitors from Miami. Fellow southeast division rivals the Atlanta Hawks did the Wizards no favors by beating the Heat on Saturday night, knocking them out of first place in the Eastern Conference. Any thoughts that the Miami would rest their stars should be thrown out the window, as the Eastern Conference crown is still not settled. Expect the Heat to play as if home court advantage throughout the playoffs is at stake, because it is.
By now, there's nothing else to be said about this game that you'all don't already know. Heat SG Dwayne Wade is back after missing nine games and rounding into shape for the playoffs. He'll start the game. He logged 23 minutes versus the Hawks on Saturday, scoring 24 points on 10-14 shooting from the field.
The Wizards road to victory will have to be paved through outstanding games from both PG John Wall and SG Bradley Beal -- with the Wiz making hay in the transition game. Washington will also need to find a defensive match-up for Heat F/C Chris Bosh.
