The keys to this game and the series in general:

1. Make Noah a scorer and not a facilitator: The Bulls run most of their offense through Noah, aka the taco bell chihuahua. The Wizards defense needs to force Noah into being a shooter first, and a passer second. Take him out of his comfort zone (the FT line extended) and make him put it on the floor if possible.

2. Minimize the long-twos: The Bulls are probably the best team in the league at forcing bad shots. Minimizing the long twos is critical. Most of the offense should run through Wall/Gortat screen and rolls, and penetration-kickout.

3. Control the boards: The Bulls are going to miss a bunch of shots...especially their backcourt. It's imperative the Wiz win the war on the boards. If we allow Boozer and Noah to have their way on the glass, it's going to be a long series.

4. Witt vs. Thibs: hopefully, Witt holds his own against one of the better coaches in the league. The Wizards have beaten the Bulls twice this season, and Witt did a solid job in both games with rotations. Witt is going to have to be on his A-game in this series.

5. Win the ugly game: This series is going to be a low scoring, slow-it-down affair. The Bulls are built for these type of games...we need to show that we can win these type of games too.

Throw the stats out the window...just go out their and play hard and whoop some Bull arse!

The series will be on TNT.. much better coverage than Espn

Honestly this is a series we can win. I'd be legitimately disappointed if we lost.

Love watching you guys play. Sucks we have to play. Going to hate seeing Arenas Fame 5 highlights over the next 2 weeks. May the best team win!

The good thing is if we win 1st round we play IND or ATL next round, not MIA.

I want to say this on the first page. I anticipate this thread to be long, with a number of Bulls fans visiting.

Welcome Bulls fans. You should know that many of us here hold the Bulls (and the RealGM Bulls board) in high esteem. Hope you're able to hang around here and get great convos going with the guys here.

This is going to be one helluva a series. I like this match up and I hope to God we start Nene because I just got off my blood pressure meds. Bulls are a great defensive team but their offense tends to take vacations and we are going to maul them in that time especially with Beal FINALLY finding his jump shot. We match up up well at every position except HC. Coach tippytoe (thanks doc, I could never spell that mofo's name right) is heads above Witty and so he's going to have to call upon every one of his brain cells...seriously like all 6 of em'.

Of all the people to start the first playoff game thread.

TGW has predicted 34 wins in the predictions thread yet was in such a hurry to start the game thread that the original post had the wrong faces for the Bulls

And "Playoffs? Ya Kiddin me?" in the title ?

Would have been more appropriate if the thread was started by someone that actually predicted over .500 and playoffs than someone who constantly beat up on the team all year.

And he stepped on Pines game thread streak after the Boston win.

He's still working on it. I think he copied and pasted an earlier game so he could get the spacing right.

This is my template so I speak from experience, Believe me, it takes a while to populate the various statistical fields for all the players.

Once you get the spacing right, you gotta manually go in and pop in new player photo URLs, manually add stats and adjust each line manually for spacing, etc.

Takes me 30 minutes to make a thread from scratch. And I'm familiar with it.

Patience I'll be rewarded.

I am happy the Wizards are playing the Bulls. This is what I posted in another thread:

Let's see if he knows that Nene gives Chicago a few issues, more so than Booker. Let's see if he knows that Al Harrington has already been a playoff upset contributor. Gooden can hit shots from outside. The Wizards have a ton of three point shooters. They need to force the tempo by the long outlet passing that Andre Miller can do. Wall and Gortat can PnR Chicago honest.

Thibs didn't want the Wizards IMO. A casual observer can figure out the Wizards have a lot more talent outside of Noah. The weakest link is Wittman, but his job is on the line. We shall see ...

Bulls play ICE better than any team in the league. Without a true stretch 4, this is really going to hurt us. Bulls are also good at defending the weak side which hurts Walls biggest strength: the skip pass. Bulls are also fantastic at baiting the mid range shot. Another huge weakness of the Wizards offense.
