Maybe there should be a Game 4 Player of the Game thread Poll. They're both pretty good.

Gave it to Ariza, but all of the 4 top guys did well. Can't look just at shooting numbers against the Bulls. Kept their composure, maintained the D. Great win.

Ariza. We needed either him or Beal to hit some big threes and he came up huge. Also his usual great defense. Threw in 8 rebounds too.

Aria is God.

Reverse corollary: Noah is dog.

Go Wizards!

Yeah, clearly Ariza to me, but don't let that overshadow a great team effort. In addition to the obvious names, Trevor Booker, even with his decided disadvantages and shortcomings, played his heart out. Maybe Gibson had a career game, but Booker never let up, diving for loose balls, trying to save possessions, trying to do whatever he could in the absence of Nene.

Ariza, but Beal provided a needed spark in the third when Chicago threatened to get the lead below ten.

I can't choose. Beal was super-poised on both ends. Wall was playing lock-down defense and distributed the ball beautifully. Ariza was ultra-clutch with his shooting and rebounding.

I'm voting for the perimeter trio as a team.

An anti-hate And1 for Ted rocking the Nene jersey.

Good job, Ted.

Good support, but I still don't like what Nene did. This could have been 4-0, while we watch Atlanta and the Fakers slug it out.

Better Nene and the team gets it out of their system now, during a series they can win regardless, than in a series where Nene blowing his top is the difference between winning and losing. It's a long road, and he's bound to face some other good psyches and baiters along the way.

Ariza played huge. So huge he even fooled Hubie Brown into praising his ability to take his man off the dribble. WTF? Gortat should get some props though for holding it down in the middle in Nene's absence. Not a huge game, statistically, but that trap-breaking pass to Ariza in the 4th quarter was a thing of beauty. (And, although it was potentially a really dumb move - there's a small part of me that's proud of him for coming off the bench and being ready to get his teammate's back Friday night.)

You gotta give it to Athreeza.

But Bradley Beal was damn close. Kid showed star potential out there. I also thought Wall, while not scoring or looking as aggressive as we would like on that front, did a great job defensively (for the most part, a few lazy matador-and-try-to-poke-the-ball-out moments) and was finding shooters easily with the pass.

Fantastic game all round, its hard to fault a single player. They all let each other down by playing lazy in the 4th though.

I like that Ted is supporting his guys but what Nene did was stupid and not apologizing to his teammates was selfish.
