YOUR Washington Wizards LEAD the series 1-0 with homecourt advantage taken away from the Indiana Pacers.

Washington dominated the boards in the last game and made 10 three pointers. John Wall started the game shooting well and managed to control the pace and lead the team the rest of the way despite going cold. Ariza played his usual great defense on Paul George and the Wiz got a much needed boost from Drew Gooden off the bench.

Roy Hibbert is clearly missing in action and the Pacers lack of chemistry is pretty evident. But they are a talented group who will play with a sense of urgency. They lost only 6 times this year at Bankers Life Field House. But have now lost 3 there during the playoffs. The Wizards turned it over 17 times, 6 in the 4th quarter which are numbers the Pacers normally do to themselves.

What will it take to take a commanding, 2-0 series lead? Will doubt creep into the Pacers if they get down again?

Keys to the game:

-Keep moving the ball, get great looks... NO LONG TWOS.. DRIVE, DRIVE, GET FOULED
-Protect the boards, Stop Stephenson on the offensive glass
-No turnovers.. ISO Ball is a turnover with this team
-Force turnovers and push the pace
-Make FREE THROWS
-PLAY WITH INTENSITY!

I said in the other thread that pathetic or not, I still fear them way more with Hibbert. I think we eat them up with scola or copeland.

As for the coverage, Ive seen a ton of coverage of our game today and literally 99.9% of it is all about Hibbert. No one is saying anything about us. Just all Hibbert for long segments

We're not even suppose to be here, Bulls in 6 remember? Wiz had no expectations, and if they did, it was extremely low (8th seed). Indiana was in contending/title talks, and now? Who knows. But like Marcin said, it's 1 game, we're still the underdogs, Indiana could win the next 4 and that's a wrap. Wiz are playing with house money. Hard to believe they are 3 wins away from vying for a NBA Finals spot.

hate the way we closed out the 4th--boxscore looks like it was even but I think they figured some things out that could make game 2 go more in their favor--specifically:

Hill being more aggressive on PNR with the jumper
Unleashing Copeland
More minutes for Turner
Baiting us into Gortat/Gooden isolations

I really think the Wiz need to do a better job of that pick and roll. West killed us with it, Scola was open for a few buckets. And they ran it a lot, the high pick and roll, that's their bread and butter.

Meh. It looked close because Hill put on his best Reggie Miller impersonation for a few possessions there in the last minute.

I'm not so sure I fear Turner getting more burn... at all.
I WAS surprised it took them so long to get Copeland in.

Sadly for Roy Hibbert there is a good chance there is a mental issue, perhaps imbalance of some sort.
Pacers management should have him meet with a doctor and be diagnosed one way or the other.

It`s weird, Copeland and Turner can cause us problems and Vogel barely play them.It seems as though Turner`s stats are of the empty variety.
