I USED to look forward to the draft every year, hoping the Wizards would do some wheeling and dealing to improve the team by the end of night. EG killed those hopes in me.

Given years past, when he was the firstest to pay the mostest for the leastest, I'm fine with no news. Hold out, maybe some other GM make the foolhardy move, and the Wizards benefit. Or nothing at all happens. I can think of worse scenarios than that.

It's more frustrating to see teams making efforts to become contenders while the Wizards stand pat in Pooptown, mediocrity USA.

On the occasion that a Wizards front office move is mentioned on wiretap, realgm uses that same 'deer in the headlights' looking Ernie Grunfeld photo.

For once I'd like to see legitimate rumors of us going after a big name FA. Even if it's only like a 10% chance, at least it tells me we're trying to take that next step into becoming elite.

Didn't it say not too long ago that we were interested in Kevin Love and everyone was like "cool to see us mentioned with big name FAs/players even if we aren't going to get them, says how far we've come blahblahblah..."
