As a Knicks fan, what would you guys want from us?

Also, mind telling a little about Booker? We need a rebounder/defender inside so it looks like a decent pickup to me.

Idk. Honestly better not be bargs or amare. Rather it be a round pick or a center.

I am not sure what the Knicks have to offer.

Booker's advanced stats look very good.

Pros:
Strong
Athletic
very good offensive rebounder
plays with-in limitations(very efficent player)

Cons:
poor shooter(FT% in the 60s)
defense seems suspect
under-sized(although reach and athleticism helps compensate)

Booker is a very good offensive rebounder, and fairly efficient on offense overall in a low usage role. Defensively struggles against size as he's really only about 6'7 at most. Solid 3rd or 4th big.

Wouldn't shock me if this was just a S&T for a TPE. In fact, it could be a 3-way, double S&T that lands Booker in NY and Blair in DC.

The Knicks don't have anything on the roster that I'd be inclined to take back. And looking at the picks they've traded, they won't have a 2nd round pick available until 2018.

Hearing the trade will involve Wayne Ellington... Pablo Prigioni would also make a ton of sense, and he'd be a great fit with you guys.

Ellington isn't terrible and his contract only runs through this season. Can shoot the heck ouf of the 3-ball. Nice stopgap backup SG.

That would be even better than burning a significant portion of the Ariza TPE.

If Booker was signed around the 4 million range, Blair could be signed around 6 million. This would be an overpay for Blair however the Mavs are rumored to be throwing in cash as part of the deal. The advantage for the Mavs is this means they get a bigger TPE. Hopefully little of the 2nd and 3rd season on Blair are guarranteed in this scenario.

With a deal similar to Bogans(around $6 million, with 2nd and 3rd year un-guarranteed), Blair becomes a very interesting trade chip at the deadline. He could be used to take on up to $9 million in salary, and if $3 million in cash is sent with him, his future salary is paid for.

I love the way GMs are collaborating to accommodate players and their agents. EG working with Phil Jackson for a Booker trade is exciting. I'm happy for Booker.

People who wanted action from the main office, looks like they're getting their wish. I for one love that we're being proactive to improve the club for not only list year but also using a bit of foresight that was lacking in the past.

Ellington isn't terrible but he's pretty close. The one NBA skill he has is shooting. Shoots 3s at a pretty good clip. Problem is his defense. Doesn't defend worth a lick. I also honestly don't want him potentially stealing minutes away from Glen Rice.

Yup. I hope we don't get Ellington. Pretty confident in Rice being the backup SG.

A TPE or 2nd round pick is what I hope we get for Booker. Or if this becomes a three way with Dallas.

Interesting comparison. Ellington has struck me has a good 3 point shooter. I think Meeks is more passable on defense and can score in a variety of ways.

Rice is too good to send to the D-League again, so no to Ellington. Honestly I'll take a TPE. That's all.

His WS/48 would put him as a below average player, but not a complete scrub. I like that he shoots around 40% from deep.

I don't worry about him stealing minutes from Rice. Witt will sort that out, and I sense the organization has a high degree of belief and investment in Rice. But if we are indeed planning to rely on Rice -- and then he turns in ankle -- there are worse options than having Ellington on the roster.

Sure, I'd prefer a TPE and just signing a guy like Ellington for the minimum. But given the deals Meeks and Ben Gordon got, I just don't know if that's realistic. There aren't tons of guys left out there and there's still a ton of money.

Booker is a no-nonsense player. If he were a little bigger he would be a very good player. He is a grinder who plays within his limitations. He does what he is told to do on defense and he does not look for his own shot. He has worked on his shooting but is a reluctant scorer. Trevor Booker is a pretty good run and jump athlete. He is unselfish and probably could score more but he is content being a role player.

Booker will be good next to Carmelo Anthony.

I honestly can't imagine how anyone in this world could prefer Seraphin over Book. Are we seriously about to keep Seraphin over Booker?
