Exciting off season for the Wizards guys. Team should definitely be in playoff contention yet again. Naturally, there will be an increase in season ticket sales. Will you buy before they sell out? It's good to know the owner is vested long term in the future of the team and is just as excited and committed to winning as the fans in DC.

Now I can't help but think that the recent rash of "good moves" was al kicked off after Ted saw his earnings report. Making more money via tickets > Saving money through cuts.

The funny thing is that I came the closest I have ever been to giving up my season tickets after 18 years. I even let the season ticket holder renew deadline expire without renewing and then got an extension until July 1 to make a decision. Ultimately, I kept my season tickets. Glad I did...I think I will have a much easier time selling my tickets for FV or above if I want to.

I also came very close to not renewing in no small part because one of
my partners for going to games won't be around much this year. My older
daughter graduated and will be away at Hollins Univ near Roanoke.
I am certainly encouraged by the recent moves but I still have concerns
about selling tickets for even FV to non-marquee games. The marquee
games may be somewhat higher in demand though. But a hypothetical Wed night
game vs UTA is still not going to have much draw. I would be very happy to
turn out to be wrong on this.
