For the 3rd PG slot I-guess, The EG good-move streak has ended. I would have liked to have seen us sign a 3rd young PG.

Well there you have it. Temple at least gets to start the year on the team.

Wonder if it is non guarantied.

Next we will learn about Kevin S and Birch

Wall/Miller/Temple
Beal/Glen/Webster
Otto/PP
Nene/Humphries/Gooden
Gortat/Blair

Thats 13.. Updated per CntOutSmrtCrazy pointing out I left out Webster

Room for Birch for sure. Clearly PP is playing SF.

They might actually keep Kevin S. Great teachers for him. Hump and Blair should be able to toughen him up. But that getting harder to see them doing.

But man. What if they can still add a Okafor or a Zaza. That would be some serious depth.

Another guard might make more sense.

Wow. That is the deepest team we have seen with the title team.

Actually, AH says he wants to still play. Where does he fit in all that ? All those front court players can play center.

I would add another guard as the last piece.

Wizards sign Ray Allen would be the cherry on top.

Temple does not really excite me, I agree with clos. I understand Temple is a good defender, I just don't think we really needed him anymore. Whatever.

He can defend three positions and can shoot the three. I don't expect him to get more than 5-7 min per game if he plays. Temple was the safe choice. I think Ernie did the right thing. Plus, the guys seemed like they really gelled last year and Temple was a part of that. Good for the team.

Kinda...
I don't really care about the signing though, I just would've done something else. You're right about him gelling with the guys, he was always very active on the bench, talking to guys, getting hype and all that.

13, you forgot Webster. Also I see Temple as more of a two, we could still land another PG which I think we should make a push for Nelson. We bring ten guys back as not to mess chemistry up too much, we bring in Pierce, Blair, Humphries and maybe someone else. Sucks Ariza had to go, but its good long term for many reasons.

What would be nice if Temp works on his trey a ton this summer, he would be so much more serviceable if he could knock it down at a 35% clip. We know he can defend and plays smart, but he might be actually able to give us a couple of more minutes when there's an injury or when Miller needs to be rested.

Meh...I guess a breather if Andre needs to go on the O2 tank early.

If he could hit an open 3 with confidence as CntOutSmrtCrazy pointed out, that would clearly help a lot.

I mean for a 5th guard it isn't an awful signing, I just wished Deonte showed better in SL. I think they were waiting on to see what Deonte had in em, and, eh...he really hasn't delivered so I suppose go with the "sure" thing, even if it is moldy cheese.

We needed someone to confuse us and periodically trick us into believing that Otto has actually been inserted into a game.

Lets be real, he's not going to get any playing time after Wall, Miller, and Beal split ball handling duties. Maybe even Rice. How many MPG did he average last year after we signed Miller?

I like Temple, I think i was one of the only ones saying we should re-sign him after last season. Now, after all thats happened in the last 2 weeks, it feels overwhelmingly meh.

Still, he will be a good 3rd string PG/SG if someone goes down. I think hes a better player than most give him credit for.

I'd especially like to see Webster moved now.

I think it's fine to keep a defensive ace on the roster, just in case -- especially now that we've lost our #1 defensive stopper in Ariza. Temple's no Randy Brown, e.g., an energetic gnat who will pester opposing PGs the length of the court -- but he knows the system and he'll do. Plus, his jumper has improved over the last two years from horrible to below-average; I expect him to continue to work on that J and turn it into "serviceable." That'd be like Bluth Co. getting rated a "Don't Buy".

Temple is a decent third string pg.
