So according to this article, the Wizards will be sporting a new Alt Uni this season.

Anyone heard anything? Any speculation?

Adidas have also completed mocks of Xmas Day Unis for all 30 teams as the schedule is yet to be announced. It is pretty meh, if we have an Xmas Day game that is.



The NBA store put this 'fashion' jersey up hours after the Pierce signing. Its pretty vogue for a team to have a black alt jersey, but i have a feeling this won't be it.

Ive always liked the idea of switching the main colours around for an alt, so having majority blue where it is now red, and vice versa. I made a mock of such a jersey a while ago but i have to hunt it down, ill post it later or make a new one.

They don't have a blue alternate jersey maybe it's that.

While at first glance these alternates are kinda meh, I think they have potential to look kinda badass on court.

I've been saying for YEARS that they should try and work something out with Dan Snyder (if they even need to go through him) and create a burgundy and gold alternate. Same exact jersey just switch the colors. DC is and always will be a Redskins city first, so I say we just embrace it. I'd buy a burgundy and gold Wizards jersey in a heartbeat.

Although I'd really like a blue-based jersey similar to the old Bullets jerseys as well.

Hell, any alternate is something I'm realistically excited about seeing. I even liked those gold Wizards ones from the Gil era that most people hated. All those orange and blue Baltimore Bullets ones were sweet too. Only ones I was meh about were the white and gold Zephyrs ones.

EDIT: I'll add that one of the big upsides IMO about a burgundy and gold jersey is what it says to Kevin Durant. Let's face it. We're all in on this Kevin Durant idea. Which is obviously the right thing to do, even if he stays in OKC - we have to try. We know he loves DC and we know he LOVES the Redskins. Remind him that this is his city and tempt him to get into one of those jerseys.

We need a Bullets throwback jersey.

And it has to be blue like the old ones.

Burgundy & gold would be cool, but it'll never happen with all this redskins name controversy going on.

Anyone with an idea on the timetable of when the jersey would be officially revealed? If it's cool maybe I'll grab a Beal one I still need a jersey of his... hoping he makes the World Cup roster though so I can get a USA Beal jersey

a blue or silver jersey with the DC logo on the chest would be nice.

Im kinda hoping its an orange/dark blue alt.

Those were my fave Bullets jerseys, back in the 80s/90s.

Those were great unis, but they're not the current colors anymore. I'd prefer it they stayed with the current colors (navy, red, white), instead of royal blue, red & white.

BTW, I found this pic on the SportsLogos.com message board. The poster claims it's the shorts to the alt unis:



If true, then it's not a simple recolor. And, there's a lot more silver than in the primary unis.

Looks ok but there's a missing stripe it should of been white at the top going by the color scheme and a red stripe between the number and city/name. Gotta see it in person might not look so bad but they should add a white stripe between number and name would make it not look so plain looking.

Love it. Wanted a blue alternate.
