Regarding to Durant, according to the article, he's eligible to sign a 5 year/$162 million contract w/the Thunder. If he signed here, it would be 4 yrs/$120 million. I feel like it's a disadvantage, $42 million is a lot of money to leave on the table, but the way I see it: shorter contract means he's a free agent a year earlier than expected, so he can cash in again. Second, he's one of the most marketable athletes in sports. Not sure if he'll recoup all $42 million but he won't be hurting for cash.

I would rather more TNT and no ESPN at all. ESPN production is terrible.

Only if they land on Boardwalk and Park Place. The winners will be the organizations that adjust best to the changing numbers, but I don't think it creates a Yankees/Dodgers like situation due to the penalties and restrictions imposed by the CBA.

If I had to guess, the magic number for the Wiz would be $80 million as the cap in 2016. That's assuming Durant is willing to leave a ton of money on the table.

Not sure if at that point it would be about money for Durant, after all huge endorsements from Nike etc....but no one knows how things will pan out up until that point.

Yea but one would think, a near star now makes.... 5-8m? about that,

if it increased to 10-14M maybe 15-20M of course the players would take that, and they would want to move to a great city....I think this benefits teams with history and teams with $, While some teams spend big bucks on a few players I would expect some teams stock piling assets for the future and also talented players.
