Who wants to start the over under. December? Early January? All-star break maybe??

If it was his right wrist or a knee/ankle then i would be more concerned.

Well, I didn't hear "2-3 weeks starting...NOW". It could have meant 2-3 weeks, starting in 2-3 weeks.

If We're being optimist, basically 3 weeks left in October, maybe by December he could be back. Luckily not in his shooting hand. We have enough bigs to carry us, but we're going to have to retain a shooter now...maybe Xilas. Sucks for Beal, needs to up his Calcium intake!

Might have to lower my win prediction by 3 :/

Part of me also wonders how Webster is healing now as well. 2012-13 webster could relieve us of most of what we'll lack from Beal but I hope he doesn't feel pressured to return now.

In any case while I love Beal as much as the next guy, Wall, Nene and Gortat should be able to up their game enough to give us a chance.

I also think GR JR will have a chance to show well.

But yah, damn the basketball gods >.>

Had the exact same injury but didn't need surgery. I missed 3 months of Australian football and I still came back early.
This is probably the worst probable result as the scaphoid bone is one of the slowest to heal due to the blood flow coming from the top of the bone. If it doesn't heal right it can pose serious problems later on. The scaphoid bone is broken by falling on it. It's actually a bone which is just at the bottom of your thumb and is seriously painful.

I'd expect Beal to miss over 10 weeks easily. If it is a broken scaphoid and is that bad it needs surgery, I would not expect to see him back until 2015. Which is shattering. But also a massive plus for Glen Rice Jnr and even Otto Porter.
I'd love to see Rice start. With the rumored John Wall finger injury this is starting to get worrying.

This is a non-displaced fracture however. A displaced scaphoid fracture takes 8-12 weeks to heal I think. Since they've already identified it as non-displaced I assume 6-8 weeks is a reasonable time table. They aren't saying anything official however after surgery. I somehow doubt the MRI lied in the fact that the wrist isn't of the non-displaced variety.

Just stop....

If they are hit with bad luck with wall or beal injury wise..It won't be pretty. Start of the season has Beal out & I believe Martell Webster is still questionable?
Wizards are overhyped going into the the season, a bad start is going have the media in a uproar.

That is horrible comments that you talk of? Its **** luck. But please .., i've stated the team is overrated, since everything in the media is "best front court"(maybe in future, but not this season), and that they are ready for NBA finals. I'm a Raptors fan 110%, but its never great to see a young talent hit with the injury bug.
