Winner of two straight, 6-2 in the East and second in the conference to the Toronto Raptors (as this is written), YOUR Washington Wizards look to extend their home cooking on a cool, soon-to-be-winter evening in Chinatown versus the visiting Orlando Magic. The Magic have been without star G Victor Olapido, who has been out after surgery to repair multiple facial fractures suffered in practice before the regular season started. He has just recently started practicing with a mask and is scheduled to return to action in late November.
As this post is written (Nov 13th), Orlando is coming off of a tight 97-95 victory over the struggling New York Knicks at MSG. The game featured a career high for Magic SG Evan Fournier (28 points) and a final Knick possession that featured G J.R. Smith freezing out F Carmelo Anthony for the final shot and, instead, jacking a contested 30-footer for the loss.
Let's meet the starting lineups.
