__1st Southeast Div / 2nd Eastern Conf________________5th Southeast Div / 12th Eastern Conf

Winner of two straight, 6-2 in the East and second in the conference to the Toronto Raptors (as this is written), YOUR Washington Wizards look to extend their home cooking on a cool, soon-to-be-winter evening in Chinatown versus the visiting Orlando Magic. The Magic have been without star G Victor Olapido, who has been out after surgery to repair multiple facial fractures suffered in practice before the regular season started. He has just recently started practicing with a mask and is scheduled to return to action in late November.

As this post is written (Nov 13th), Orlando is coming off of a tight 97-95 victory over the struggling New York Knicks at MSG. The game featured a career high for Magic SG Evan Fournier (28 points) and a final Knick possession that featured G J.R. Smith freezing out F Carmelo Anthony for the final shot and, instead, jacking a contested 30-footer for the loss.

Let's meet the starting lineups.

This marks the second meeting for the two squads. YOUR Washington Wizards defeated the Magic in Orlando on October 30th to notch their first win of the season. G John Wall led the way with 30 points (10-21 fg, 8-9 ft) and 12 dimes.

And if you're a Magic fan, you're invited to partake in the Wizards trolling and insults thread. Come in a good-natured spirit and drop your most clever, witty, and snarky bombs at the Wiz. It's a safe place, we invite it. (With fair warning that we'll give it as good as we take it.)

My god, whoever made our early-season schedule has earned a beer from me.

Orlando only lost to Toronto by 4 points. The Wizards should win but Orlando shouldn't be taken lightly.

Seriously....and Beal right around the corner!

If we are talking about how teams were constituted last year though, this schedule was brutal.

Right... and someone was arguing with me when the schedule was released that our opening month was tough.

Don't let Elfrid Payton's babyface fool you; he has the eyes of a stone-cold killer.

He was ready to take that spanking from Anthony Anderson like a *man*. Like Denzel in Glory.

.

Nene has a sore shoulder and may not be available for the game vs Orlando.

I want to channel Millie when I say: "Nene is often injured. That's why our exceptionally smart GM, Ernie Grunfeld, built so much depth in our frontline during the past off-season."

Go Wizards!

Magic just beat the Knicks in NY. The Knicks are now 2-7 (second to last in the conference) with a $90 million payroll.

Expensive suckage at it's best. Did they rehire Isiah as GM?

That was quite the battle of the titans. 2 points behind at the end, a well-covered JR Smith decides to force an off-balance 3 even though a hot Melo is wide open right next to him. Shocking. Orlando is really bad, but it does hurt if Nene is out, because he and Gortat could take turns defending Vucevic - basically their only reliable scorer.

They should just double Vucecic using Wall and have Payton beat them with the jumper.

Good call - Payton is fun to watch, but he has no jump shot. I watched Louisiana-Laf a couple times late season, and even on the rare occasions he did shoot jumpers, it took him forever to actually release it. He makes last year's version of Garrett Temple look like Ray Allen prime. Btw, if you watch LL this season - they've got a PF named Shawn Long with almost as bad hair, and he can play in the NBA.

If nene is really out for this game, and Randy doesn't play Pierce at the 4, than f&^% Randy. Seriously. Orlando can't handle small ball.

Still winning the bigger head battle. We got this.

Though we make have to sub in a picture if Nene is out.

I expect Hump would start and that means more Gooden and/or Blair.

Gooden is fun to watch when he steps in game like this so I expect good things if he does.

So nice to have big man depth for once. Its been forever since we have had good big name depth. Hell, or two PGs at the same time.
