Official Thread - Wizards vs Cs (12/8/14)

Post#1 » by pineappleheadindc » Mon Dec 8, 2014 2:58 pm

.

Dang - game day and no official thread. So here it is. I'm completely jammed at work, so this down and dirty game thread will have to do.

Wiz coming off of a disappointing performance, particularly early in the game, in Boston. Hope to get their revenge. The Truth looking to pass Reggie Miller on the all-time scoring list.

It's time to bust out our good luck charms.

Go Wizards!!!

Wall and Beal and Gortat blew it for most of the game yesterday - until Paul went to the 4, John blasted off controlling the game and Rasual/Paul started making 3s.

Glad to see Paul shoot 6-10 and 3-6 from 3 yesterday. Hopefully, he will gradually get back to his 45-48% overall and 37-40% from 3 NORM. Unfortunately, he missed the final clutch 3 (that he has made so often in his sterling career) that might have sealed the Q4 comeback.

Need to kick some ass today.

PS Got tickets for the Clips and considering the Bulls later this month.

Glad u did official thread but those girls are ugly as hell !!! (of course except the last one :D )

I would like to see aggression from the start, ball movement and better execution. Butler become my fav player He is like assasin striking ones/ less but deadly.

Hope for the win after dissapointing game in Boston.

I feel a very Spurs-like, bounce back game coming. Beal for 35+, Wiz by 15+, pizza for all!

I talked about it yesterday but kinda worried about Wall being tired. The good thing is that yesterday use to be the norm for him in terms of minutes but since we got Dre, he never plays that much so he should be able to handle it, especially early in the season. Im probably in the minority but I would like to see him go back to being more aggresssive as a scorer. I think he still plays better and we play better when he doesnt always come off the pick looking for a pass. Sometimes the D plays him for that like the C's yesterday and it causes alot of turnovers. I know its harder for him with 2 bigs but still he's got to be a lil more agressive especially with Beal & Gortat stinking it up like yesterday.

One thing under the radar was the FT shooting. We were 14-21 yesterday. We shoot a lil better and its a different game. Pierce is 6-10 the last 3 games, Porter missed 2 yesterday, and Nene went 1-4. Nene was also 2-8 from the field yesterday. So far this year Nene plays like 1 good game out of every 4 or 5. He looks broken down already. He still looks strong but has no lift at all and no confidence at the line. He's force to use a ton of pump fakes now by the rim because he cant explode.

That may be another reasson why we should maybe look into starting Pierce at the 4. The facts to me are this. I wasnt on board with Pierce starting there because I believe its dangerous playing a small guy their that much, I thought Nene would still be strong this year, and I knew that you couldnt count on Webster or Rice. However, Nene has been bad this year, and Butler came out of nowhere. For the 1st time we can do what we dreamed of and put Shooters around Wall while still coming off the bench with Dre, Butler, Nene, and Hump while we still have Web coming soon. To me that might be one of the best rotations in the league. No one is going to kill that bench and I dont see many teams pulling away from our starting unit.

I just see us being so fast and explosive with Wall-Beal-Porter-Pierce-Gortat. Wall would dominante, Gortat would feast with the space, Porter would bring athleticism and play much better with the starters, while Pierce would be way more on board then people think because offensivley it would be so easy. SF's can stay with him but he would get all open looks or be able to drive by PF's which is why he killed it last year after the move. None of this would ever happen but boy would I love to see it. Wall would get such a boost of energy. I know he would feel unstoppable and like he had the whole floor open

Make layups and control the paint

Wizards missed a lot at the rim yesterday. Should be able to fix that.

Home fans show your true commitment to winning. Hold up Evadney posters when the Celtics are ready to shoot.

The Cs intra-board back-and-forth is interesting to me.

:runs to kitchen for some microwave popcorn:

Pine's helpful hint. Mix in nacho cheese Doritos into a bowl of hot microwave popcorn. That's an AWESOME snack.

Go Wizards

Truth will out.

Howdy Wiz fans. Not much to say. Wanting a win, not expecting one. The typical underdog fare.

As always, let's everyone get out of this one intact.
