Spurs lost to the Pistons in #SoWizards fashion.

Pistons are 3-19 from 3.. they're down 3 and Pop tells his team to foul. Meeks goes to the line, sinks two. Then the Spurs have the ball to Duncan, he turns it over and Jennings lays it in to win the game.

Pistons beat Spurs in San Antonio for their sixth straight win since getting rid of Josh Smith. Meanwhile, Rockets are 3-4 since acquiring Josh Smith, after compiling a 20-7 record prior to his arrival. The Josh Smith effect. What a wasted talent, but SVG knew what he was doing. That team might actually ending up getting somewhere.

Yep, and think where they might be if SVG had dealt J-not-so-Smoove to Sacto when he had the chance.

Looks like Cousins isn't a fan of Gay's iso ball:

Rose has been a disaster lately. Looking at his game logs he looks like he is becoming the Josh Smith of pgs.

Speaking of Smith i just remembered that the Hawks let him walk for nothing two years ago and now they have the best record in the east. The Josh Smith effect > Linsanity

Josh Smith was a game high +21 in Houston's win today. (7-10FG, 16 points, 5 rebounds 2 assists, 2 blocks, 2 turnovers in 26 minutes)

That sort of game will only embolden him to back to bad Smith. Hit a three late in the clock, goes right back to launching a heat check 20 seconds later.

Judging from interviews, he doesn't appear to be the most self-aware individual either, I have a feeling Houston will regret that move soon enough.

Simply an absurd amount of cash to tie up in a player like Josh Smith.

It's too bad Cousins didn't negotiate an early termination clause. Seems like he drank the new ownerships kook-aid when he signed that deal.

LOL

It's only a matter of time before they're forced to trade him at pennies on the dollar. I just hope the Wizards can field an offer. It would be amazing if we could trade Porter + Gortat + future 1sts for Cousins while simultaneously signing Durant as a free agent. How's THAT for a Big Three: Wall, Durant and Cousins, plus Beal as a 4th option! :o I could play power forward for that unit and we'd still win.

The Wizards have a horrible track record of dealing with headcases like Cousins. I would pass quite easily. Would much rather target Marc Gasol.

Gasol will be 30 this summer. Cousins is 24. Also, we don't really have a viable way of getting Gasol. Gasol is a free agent this summer when we don't have the cap room. Even in the highly unlikely event that we could clear enough cap room to try and sign him, we have little reason to expect him to come here.

Cousins is a headache, but I really do get the sense that it's the type of problem that will continue to get better as Cousins matures. Cousins loves basketball and works on his game. That's the foundation of a good player and it's the kind of thing you can't fix. If you don't have that, you end up like Andrew Bynum or Larry Sanders. Cousins doesn't have the problem. Cousins is more like a Rasheed Wallace or Latrell Sprewell. Yeah, he's a pain in the ass, but you can work with him.
