GT #39: Wizards @ Bulls 8 PM (ESPN/CSN/99.1 FM) [1/14/15]

YOUR Washington Bullets are 26-12! (OMG) And they just beat the defending NBA Champion San Antonio Spurs for the first time since November 2005

Next, the Wizards travel to Chicago for the 2nd leg of a back to back against the rival Bulls. The good guys won last Friday night in a prime time showdown and avenged a December loss to the Bulls at home in convincing fashion. Now the season series shifts and will finish at the United Center. The last time your Wizards were there for a meaningful game, they eliminated the Bulls in Game 5 of the 2014 playoffs.

The Bulls are coming off a stunning loss to the Orlando Magic. Nikola Vicevic took the soul of Pau Gasol, Victor Oladipo was making shots and running by Derrick Rose, Jimmy Butler, and everyone else on the perimeter.

Can the Wiz continue to beat the Bulls in their barn?

I don't know whether you've engineered this result, but Wizards win head-to-head head size comparison hands down. On that basis, this should be an easy victory. Nene, Gortat, Humphries, and the currently truly bad ass Seraphin have to continue their scared straight program with the Bulls "big" men. As things stand right now, they are my favorite Wizards target in the 1st (unlikely) or 2nd round.

The Nene and Noah photo makes me *literally* laugh out loud every time I see it.

Good stuff.

One ball in front, one in back. That's Nene rewriting the story of Noah's ARK!

It looks like Thibodeau is resting his arm on Pierce's arm. What an odd shot.

Road end of a B2B and CHicago rested yesterday. I can't see the Wiz playing well enough to win this one -- especially given that Chicago will be focused on revenge for getting outclassed on national TV last week. 101-93 CHicago.

Maybe on a look-see 10-day contract. Robinson has been awful.

Nate Robinson is reportedly interested in joining Doc Rivers and the Clippers.

Nivek, I expect Robinson will be as effective and explosive as always. A couple weeks ago he had 20 points in 16 minutes. His past few games he has performed well in limited minutes. His overall numbers might reflect injury woes, but recently he's been good.

With a guy like Nate Robinson I think his body of work over his career speaks for itself. He'd be a no-brainer good addition to the Wizards IMO.

I can't see Gasol and Butler being completely outplayed again.
But I do think we are the better team.
I just don't see us winning this one. Although if we do I will be amped.

The good news is that Nene (23 minutes vs. Spurs) and Gortat (27 minutes vs. Spurs) should be well-rested for tonight. We need our big frontline more than ever against Chicago.

Matchup of the game is Beal vs. Butler. Jimmy doesn't play well against us but I feel that he's bound to have a great game sooner or later. If Beal can either nullify him, we have a good shot at taking this one.

Also, this is one of those times when you know Andre Miller will be overmatched with the speedy Brooks. Consider alternative methods of playing Miller. If Brooks and Hinrich are in at the same time, put Dre on Kirk. Otherwise, maybe give Temple some run.

Would love to destroy them again, but they have fresh legs.

If we keep up last night's play though, it's ours.

no way I want Nate. I still want a top notch table setter as a backup but can also shoot. I dont want these SG's who call themselves PG's
