When I got my driver's license and was a HS junior or senior, my PG County friends would pack into my 1973 green Volkswagen Beetle and we'd go cruising.

Well...prostitution isn't exactly victimless, at least not always. There are certainly prostitutes who are adults that choose the work, and in those instances, I'd agree there's no victim. But, there are also plenty of prostitutes who are underage and/or forced to do the work by human traffickers. In those cases, there's definitely a victim.

Like Ruzious, I think it oughta be legalized, regulated (through licensing) and taxed. Hopefully that could make some progress in combating human trafficking and/or underage prostitution.

I get your point, although I imagine most of that stuff occurs because it's illegal and therefore unregulated.

Some prostitutes were abused as kids. Some were tricked into by pimps. Some were forced into it by their own mothers or other blood kin. Many are hooked on drugs. Some of them are really, really sad and degraded souls.

Then there are others who are grandmothers, grounded, able to compartmentalize and practically living double lives, the other mundane and ordinary.

Some strippers, prostitutes, pimps, etc. turn right around and go legit into things like ministry.

No, not me.

But I do know a "first lady" of the church who I swear reminds me of a former(?) stripper and the pastor, well ...

Late one night I was driving around in Pearl City. I saw three "ladies" out on the block. Whoa, I thought, "I didn't know they had THAT going on here. Not in Pearl City. I could see if this was Waikiki...."

So, you know me. I had to find out. I parked my car. Put some things away, lest I get knocked upside the head and robbed. This wasn't a familiar place for me and I figured be prepared for whatever...

As I approached the three "ladies" they looked big...and tall. I'm only 5'8". All three of these Mahus were over 6'. One of them looked hideous. Jack-o-lantern teeth and got-beat-with-an-ugly-stick, hideous face. Ewww. The other two, however, were disturbingly appealing to me. They were not Luv-a-bulls. Too good looking.

Anyhow, after I approached we talked story a bit. They told me a lot of "straight" guys and military guys solicit their services. I let them know I wasn't judging them. Told them my story. How as a young, innocent man I became a boarder in a house full of Trinidadian women. Literally started out with sisters. Unbeknownst to me, I was the bull in the pasture. I was pretty much from the same background as they were in a way. I once lived (as the only guy, except for one or two who passed through) in a women's dormitory for a year-and-a-half and paid no dormitory expenses...

Had them laughing and vice versa. One had big thighs. I told him/her I'd call him/her the nutcracker. Could break a man with those thighs...and probably make him like it.
