Another entertaining Super Bowl, what a horrific play call at the end. I feel badly for Seattle fans.

Yes there is a football section somewhere.

So disappointing to see an thrilling game end the way it did.

The pass play call was ridiculous with the success they were having with Lynch. There was still a tiny chance left until the Seahawks jumped off-sides.

Great game. Should have rolled out Wilson instead of having him throw a slant in the middle. Sure, Lynch should have had the ball at the end, but running up the gut probably wouldn't have worked against a goal line defense. Running outside maybe. Just don't throw it in traffic. Safe pass. Dumb.

Yeah, that play call was horrific and high-risk, you gotta make at-least one attempt to run it in.

I agree that a play giving Russell an option to run was the best alternative to running Lynch.

Seattle got a gift on the catch by Kearse. They were extremely fortunate to defeat Green Bay.

I am glad New England won. They've been a bit more humble. The Seahawks would have been belittling others. (Russell Wilson is classy, but I am glad Sherman didn't win).

I wonder what Lynch will say if interviewed?

Seattle choked harder than my Packers on a bigger stage.

I had them winning it all, but I'm kind of glad they get to taste what the Packers felt two weeks ago.

All I wanna know is if Bruce Irvin is going to sign with the UFC after that fight he had at the end of the game!

Kinda crazy this is going to haunt those players for the rest of their lives. I wouldn't want to be them right now.

That goal line pass has to be one of the 10 worst situational football playcalls of all time. The Pats blew it by not calling a timeout after first down, so the Seahawks had 3 downs and 1 timeout of their own to score a TD from the 1 yard line and win the Super Bowl. How do they not run the ball? Even if they don't get in, they can call timeout and then have 20 seconds to take 2 shots at the end zone.

The offsides on the kneel down was also completely idiotic, but it never should have gotten to that. They should have scored.

Definitely going to haunt the defense. They played Brady about as well as they could and gave the team a chance to win.

And what about the WR Kearse? If Seattle scores and wins, that juggling catch goes down as one of the greatest catches of all time and will be played over and over by NFL films forever. Dude would have been immortal even he never played another down. And now it's meaningless.

I would have also gone for a play-action rollout, but I agreed with Seattle's choice not to run on that play. Remember, NE had their run defense stacked in there, and they stuffed Seattle's short-yardage run game a couple times earlier in the game. It was actually a helluva play by an undrafted rookie free agent CB - more than a bad play call, imo.

I didn't think it was a bad call at all. Passing in that spot has a high success rate -- higher than running the ball. Maybe that particular call could have been different, but...if Wilson throws the ball 6 inches to the right, it's a TD. If the receiver makes a better play, Seahawks win or get another play. If the Pats CB makes a less great play, Seahawks win.

I think most of the "bad call" criticism I've heard is really "bad result" critique.

Who are you guys kidding? The right play in that situation is to keep the ball ON THE GROUND. Even if it's a PA bootleg, or a quick run up the gut by the FB, or something wide...they should have played it safe. A quick slant in the middle of the field was not the high percentage play because of what you saw...a chance for an interception, batted ball, your receiver falling down, etc.

Not only that...you have the best running back in the league. The Patriots had a hard time stopping him. You have to give the ball to that guy in that scenario.

Easily the worst playcall I've ever seen. You got the best back in the league, you let him take it and win the game. At worst he gets stuffed, you call timeout, and then you go from there.

But props to the Pats. They rallied down 10 in the 4th and for most of the game were the better team. Brady 4 rings, he is the GOAT.

I've all but lost interest in football (thanks in part to the embarrassing demise of my home team), but this was a great game. I'm only disappointed in the result because had Seattle won, Kearse's catch would have been immortalized as one of the greatest moments in the sport's history (on par with the immaculate reception.) I like witnessing history.
