Been slacking off, so here goes. Washington sits at 31-17, 9 games out of 1st place in the East and 2 games back from Toronto for 2nd place. The way I see it, I really think the Wizards need to finish in the top 3 to have any shot at advancing to the 2nd round. Not knocking teams like Milwaukee, but if you can play a team like Brooklyn in the first round, and then maybe a Chicago in the 2nd, that is a less rough path to the East finals.

You can definitely make the argument that the Wiz are in the toughest part of the schedule, a West coast trip, games vs. Atlanta and Toronto, it's been brutal. February's slate is decent, but still somewhat difficult.

12 games. 8 of them against teams with a sub .500 record. I think we take 6 of those games, plus defeat the Cavs and Warriors to go 8-4 on the month. 39-21 record at the end of February.

I think the Wiz falter a bit here and go 6-6. The 4 games vs Charlotte and Detroit scare me. Both those teams have given the Wiz problems in recent memory, and while both teams have been hit by the injury bug, I think the Wiz only win one of four. The other wins include PHI, BRK, MIN, ORL and TOR.

So I have us going 8-4. Wouldn't surprise me if we beat Cleveland and lost to one of the inferior teams
