I can live with this.

Yeah, Ramon has been bad this season but its not like its due to age etc.

Just hope that a change of scenery will cause him to revert to his career norms.

Meh... lateral move at best. Miller is done but Sessions has never been any good. Typical Ernie... trading for some hot garbage he's probably been eyeing from afar for years.

Sad thing is Temple may be our best PG now.... If Sessions continues to play as bad as he has this season, I wonder how long before Temple becomes the backup PG again?

Miller has become pretty painful to watch as well...so what's the difference?

At least there's a chance that Sessions will snap out of this funk.

Miller otoh, is just done.

He's averaging like 35% FG and 25% 3PFG over his last 81 games ON TOP OF MISSING TWENTY OR SO GAMES THIS YEAR

And he played for Charlotte last year...which was a decently run playoff team. So you can't use environment as an excuse.

Yeah this is like switching chairs on the titanic. But Sessions is only 28 at least he's a threat offensively. We were just three steps slower w/Dre out there.

This is where I'm at as well.

Dude, Miller was actually efficient if nothing else

Sessions has no redeeming qualities at all.

The offense slowed to a crawl whenever he entered the game.

Not mention we were considerably worse on defense with him.

But at least he's efficient..... :-?

Miller was terrible. F the stats. He could only post up offensively and needed a two-guard to create. He couldn't even bring the ball up the floor. He was a huge detriment on defense. Sessions has been bad this year, but at least he can push the ball some. And we still have another spot open to add a 3-point shooter.

Agree with this. Minor move, but no real downside. Even if Sessions tops out at being marginally better than Miller, it's still a plus.

Don't overlook the cap impacts, either. We're now far enough under the tax that we can make another move today or sign guys later in the season without going over. This also gets us another TPE. If we add somebody else with that (either now or later), then you also have to factor that into the total value of the trade.

Sessions is making 2 mil this year and next, so he's cheaper than Miller and gives us now 7 mil in cap space should we trade our first rounder for someone.

To me the best thing about this trade is that the team will no longer play two different styles of play depending on who the PG is. Miller slows things down so much. Sessions can better match Walls pace.

I'd have preferred that they give up someone else -- Gooden would seem to be the right guy because Sessions has been AWFUL in 642 minutes so far this season. Last season, he was decent, so it's definitely worth a shot. I'd have much preferred keeping Miller around in case what Sessions has done so far this year is his new normal. But, it's unlikely he can play any worse than he has for the Kings this year.

It could also be that Miller didn't want to be a third PG, so he needed to be dealt (or released) if they made a move for another PG.

The Wizards have no cap space, even after this trade. Or, do you mean room under the luxury tax threshold?
