Wow, Philly paying eight figures (McGee's salary) for a first from Cleveland that's going to be low. Considering that teams have sold picks straight up for $3M cash in the past, that seems like a gross overpayment.

Unless they think they can salvage McGee?

Wow, Denver gets Thomas Robinson and a future 1st from Portland for Afflalo. I couldn't believe that they were able to acquire Afflalo last summer for just Evan Fournier. I thought it was a coup at the time. Afflalo can play, and I knew he'd be an easily-movable asset if the cap ever became an issue.

Denver ends up renting Afflalo for 50 games while turning Fournier into Thomas Robinson and a future 1st. Not bad.

Nobody sells first round picks anymore - not with the new salary cap making rookie contracts so much more valuable.

Well, I guess we officially won the Nene/McGee trade, huh? Nene has been healthier, way more productive, and we won't have to sacrifice a 1st to unload him.

JaVale is one of those guys who makes teams worse. His level of unprofessionalism/immaturity combined with his embarrassing on-court play make acquiring him a bad move, especially on a team with young, developing bigs.

I was very pro-Nene trade when it happened and couldn't be happier with my line of thinking years later. /hands

If OKC finishes strong, I think they take the 8th playoff spot, and Phoenix watches the playoffs.

When Phoenix acquired Thomas, I figured they did it knowing they'd have issues this season - which would allow them to have an out in trading Dragic - so they wouldn't have to give him a 100 million contract. But maybe the GM forgot to tell the owner.

Very, they have the 3rd best record in the West and I have them as the 4th best team in the NBA.

Agreed... he will quickly become a distraction.

I believe the Sixers are still under the salary cap floor with that deal so it doesn't really cost them a thing this year, and they have only $15 million committed to 15/16, after which season McGee is a UFA.

The Sixers have so much salary cap room, they're going to take just about any contract as long as they get picks in return.

If we fail to even get Jack and Miami gets Dragic...we're officially not even a top 5 team in the Eas imo

At this point it would shock me if Jackson and Lopez are still with their respective teams.
