Poll: What should we do with our coach and GM for the remainder of the season?

Curious to see what the general thoughts are about what to do this season.

I think we need another option. Fire both the coach and GM right now. Soon isn't soon enough.

Fire Grunfeld immediately, let Tommy Sheppard take over as interim GM and begin conducting a search for a permanent GM.
Fire Wittman immediately and let Newman take over as interim coach. When the new GM is in place, let him find a new permanent coach.

I never like firing coaches mid season. Good organizations don't do it. That being said, Wittman is Byron Scott tier when it comes to his coaching ability. The team doesn't have a big window with Nene and Gortat getting older. I'd say we are missing Beal but he couldn't save us now.
Fire Wittman. Ernie will never be fired. The earth would get sucked into a black hole if that happened

Trump's a fraud, so why not involve him in this Ponzi scheme? Make the team self-suspend, an asterisk season, one for the record books. Pull the plug! BURN THE WITCH!
nate33's plan seems pretty good too.
The Wizards won't start being a good organization until EG stops making decisions, so don't worry about what "good organizations" do.
Is this guy still the head of the medical staff? Maybe it's time for him to go too.

Good organizations don't NEED to fire their coaches in the middle of the season.
I say fire the coach now because I believe the team has gone as far as they can under Wittman. Wittman isn't terrible, he has just reached the end of his usefulness. I wish Wittman well.
I say fire the GM now because there frankly isn't any GMing that needs to be done for the next couple of months. Use this time to get a new GM in place and he'll have time to evaluate our team and prepare for the draft.

What benefit is there to NOT firing Wittman? Exactly what are we trying to save here because it appears that the ship already be sinking with captain Wittman aboard.

During the 1998-99 season, the Grunfeld-built New York Knicks were limping along with a .500 record despite loftier expectations. Shortly before the end of the regular season, the Knicks fired Grunfeld, and the team went on to reach the NBA Finals that season.
I'm in favor of history repeating itself, at least in the short term. The Knicks went on to hire people even less competent than Grunfeld, and they got worse. That's the part they don't need to repeat.

I don't want to see Newman as interim coach. If he gives the Wizards a shot in the arm, he could end up rewarded with a head coach contract, like Wittman was.
Randy had done a good job but Joerger and Budenholzer were available. I don't want Newman to be the next coach per se. I'd rather see many coaching candidates interviewed.

I'm normally not in favor of firing Head Coaches mid season but Witless has got to go. The team has tuned him out and you can tell with all the blowout losses.
I don't really see the point in firing Grunfeld now, but then again I guess there really is no upside to keeping him for another ~3 months either.

My two cents. It needs to be a FO cleaning first or at the same time. I don't think we want EG picking the next coach. So... firing the coach now doesn't help us so much unless the FO goes at the same time.
I would be fine with a complete house cleaning at the end of the season too.

I really wouldn't like to see Grunfeld hiring the next coach. I would rather keep Witless to the end of the season than to have EG hire the next coach. That would just be more of the same.

Don't care when as long as it's before the draft.

Fire EG first, because we sure as hell don't want him hiring the new coach.

If we make it to the playoffs, Randy and Ernie are home free.

Don't just stop at the GM and the Coach. Fire everyone from the starting PG down to the concession workers

I am sick of this team.

Ideally, I'd want the new GM to be in place to conduct exit interviews.

I see your point. I would prefer if they fire one or the other during the regular season, not both. Preferably Wittman.
