Ted is doing everything possible to deemphasize the name "Wizards".

Just change the name back to "Bullets" and be done with it.

Actually this emphasizes the name "Wizards" since the previous logo was just the artwork without the words "Washington Wizards." Good move to add those two words and make it clear what team the logo represents.

Probably more of a self indictment, but starfish and phalli anyone?

That aside, looks very amateurish, and I still hate that Uncle Ted had to replace the Bullets blue to bring it more inline with the Caps colors.

I like it. As I said on Chris Creamer's board, the new roundel invokes political campaign button imagery.

Our primary logo has nothing to do with the name of our team. That tells me that maybe, just maybe we should ditch the name "Wizards".

But I do like the design.

The logo itself is fine. It's main function -- and the real story here -- is the replacement of this monstrosity:



This is gone forever. It wouldn't surprise me if they changed the name back to Bullets in another 5+ years. Then again, as much as they are emphasizing "washington" and "DC" they may just leave well enough alone and stick with Wizards.

The Verizon Center is an aging, nearly 20 years old, dated facility that needs to be replaced ASAP.
I suggest building a brand new, state of the art facility in PG County right outside the beltway or moving the entire team and it's offices back to the Civic Center in Baltimore.

The guys on PTI were talking about the Zards new logo. They like it. Tony K. suggested changing the name to "Washington Monuments" but he's either forgotten--or don't know--that the U.S. Park Service said they can't use "Monuments" when the idea came up back when they were changing from Bullets. Too bad. "Monuments" would be a great name for a bunch of tall guys playing ball in DC.

I like the new logo. I also like the 'dc" with the outstretched hand - what would that be called? An alternate logo? The old Wizards logo sucked and the name "Wizards" sucks. Although I care less about the name/logo and more about building a championship team. Lots of work to be done.
